I've pretty much already reache my limit lol. If I didn't know it would be all but impossible for me as a type 1 to get a new ob I would. I so would.
First off, I'm so sorry you are so miserable. I of all people would not wish early birth on anyone but at the same time, all this stress can't be good for either of you.
Second, and this might be a stupid question, but is there a way to fire your ob and just deal with the hospital staff? I mean, if you just showed up of the street is not like they would turn you away.
I'm so sorry this is happening. Sending more good vibes and prayers your way.
Holy F, you're a type 1?! They are withholding food?! WTAF!? How many weeks are you?
I'm 36+3 tomorrow. An yes they did. They moved my rcs up to 730am on the 28th because my mfm threw a fit about me not eating that long. I have an appt with him tomorrow afternoon so I'm going to see what he has to say about all this.
htuzzi324 I am so impressed that you're not in a corner constantly sobbing by now. I think you're wonder woman! I really hope you get some resolution soon.

Oh I cried this morning in the car on the way home. Everyone at the hospital thought I'd be in for a cs by 9am since the contractions were so strong but I wasn't dilating. Then my ob showed up.

I'm so sorry! How many cm are you dilated? Everytime they checked me after rounds of intense contractions and I was the same I would seriously cry. Keeping you in my thoughts and hoping you progress. 36 weeks is great!
htuzzi324, this may be a stupid question but if you are getting a CS then why does it matter if you are progressing or not?! (or did they say/think that because you aren't progressing?)
I agree with PP, you are way stronger than I would be. Your OB definitely wins the TW award.

Because my ob wants to make sure I'm actually in labor. Hey, my body got all the way to a 4...that's the mos dilated it's ever been. That's a major accomplishment to me. Now get the child out.
Still contracting but not as intense as Wednesday night or last night. I slept all night. I could still sleep longer.

My hospital admits at a 4, if you are contracting still. I couldn't imagine being all hooked up (I got the epidural right away) and then being sent home because I didn't progress. That's some major BS.
I really hope something happens for you this weekend!

This hospital admits at a 4 too but you have to progress at least another cm in 4 hours, which I didn't. I'm at my ob appt now waiting to be seen and I hope I'm a 5. I hope. I have a history of not progressing. I also have a history of dilating and then my body stalls and my cervix snaps back like a rubber band. I'm hoping that doesn't happen.
htuzzi324, my hospital, like seeca022, also admits at 4 cm. If your hospital won't take, keep you, and get this over with is there another hospital close by?
I have a friend who switched hospitals in the middle of active labor because when it came down to it they weren't supportive of her VBAC (OB approved, hospital didn't). Not the same situation I know, but just throwing it out there.
They can't deny you care, even if you fire your dipshit OB.

I still don't understand why that affects your CS schedule. Your OB is weird.

Agreed with iamthedoctor on being confused about your ass hat ob. I'm not a medical professional, but based solely on your updates, it would seem that your body is trying to have a baby. It just seems asinine to do this to both of you. I'm so pissed on your behalf. Especially since you are having a c section anyway.

Sooo confusing...he won't let you eat because you might need an emergency c-section, but he won't section you because you may not be in active labor...nope, you get one or the other OB. I'm so sorry you are going through this. I'm assuming you are chowing down now that you are headed home? I would pack clear liquids and honey sticks for when you need to go back and sneak them...you need to eat!
I'm dilated to a 3 now. Why the hell does my body want to have a baby and then not! Why. I'm going to do a lot more sitting around feeling sorry for myself today. My stomach feels bruised.

I agree that this makes no sense. So, if you had a RCS scheduled for week 39 but you weren't in active labor, would your ob refuse to do it? I don't get this at all.
I'm glad at least you're eating now. What are you supposed to do when your sugar gets low? Juice?
If I'm in the hospital and my sugar drops I'll get an iv drop of glucose :/ My ob is on vacation next week. So if I go in again I'll have some nice logical doctors on call.

No rcs already scheduled for the 28th. She has no choice at that point besides to deliver the baby.
She's just afraid the baby's lungs won't be fully developed before then. So basically if I'm not in the active labor stage she will not deliver me, unless baby is in distress. Which he isn't yet.

I'm sorry that it's so frustrating, gah. Good thoughts your way!
