I really think TTC and this group has reshaped how I think girls (well, and guys too for that matter) should be educated about the female reproductive system. There are so many "facts" and education about periods, but not ovulation, LP, or other things that actually affect periods.

If you think women are bashful about their periods in North America, consider what it’s like to have your period in other countries or under other faiths. Menstruation is considered somewhat ritually unclean in certain (I said certain, not all) Hindu, Jewish, and Islamic cultures, and women are not permitted to perform certain religious duties (i.e., fasting or prayer) during menstruation. While Christianity has never outwardly declared menstruation to be “spiritually unclean,” the New Testament does contain a passage in which Jesus “cures” a menstruating woman (Mark 5:24-25).

*the woman had been suffering for years of a constant period. It wasn't a regular once a month thing.

This reminds me of the type of article that I do freelance editing for. They farm these types of articles out to "expert" freelance writers and editors. They are often poorly researched, and filled with inconsistencies, spelling errors, grammatical mistakes, you name it. This would blend right in with the stuff I usually see come my way. I can't believe someone actually let this article be published.

The irregular periods section is totally going to cause a mass influx of hypochondriacs to doctor's offices wondering about whether their "late" period is because of "poorly controlled diabetes, hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, polycystic ovary syndrome, and high levels of prolactin in the bloodstream".

I'm only on point #2 and this is already so, so bad.

Oh wow, this is fucking brilliant. 

You know what the writer fucking did? She(?) went to the "Menstrual taboo" Wikipedia page and copied a few words/sentences out of the blurbs about religions.
