Hi ladies! I've been lurking over here since shortly after the board was created, but I've finally decided to jump in again. I was only active for about a month on 3T before everything went down.
I'm 38, my H is 35, and we have been trying since August 2012.
I just finished all of my testing in December but I had to do it with a specialist in the OB/GYN division of the practice I go to thanks to my not-so-awesome insurance. I have a 9 cm pedunculated fibroid and a slightly under-active thyroid that is under control with meds. Those were diagnosed a few weeks before testing started and no other problems were discovered through testing. Hormone levels were good, tubes open, and my H's SA was good. I'm now fighting with my insurance company because after being told that IF testing WAS covered, everything but the HSG has been denied. I'm currently waiting for a phone call to be reviewed so they can see that I was told testing was covered.
My doctor gave me a few options during our follow-up. I can try a few IUI cycles with or without meds, and she did talk about the added cost of monitoring if I decided to go the medicated route. I did get a referral to see an RE, but that appointment isn't until April. My H and I decided to try a few unmedicated IUIs while we wait to see the RE because I don't want to waste a few more months just doing what we we've been doing.
