Hey ladies, My dd is breastfed and I've read it's common for a baby to go a couple of days without pooping, but my daughter has never missed a day! She now hasn't pooped in 2 days and I can tell she is uncomfortable from it. Any suggestions to get things moving? TIA

No suggestions, but my DD went from having 3-5 BMs a day to going an average of 3 days without one. Now she is back to 1-2 per day. The pediatrician said that it is normal for BMs to slow down when a LO's body starts to use more of the nutrients (so less passes through).
How is your LO acting uncomfortable? Is it possible she is just growing and her body is using more of nutrients she is taking in? My LO gets fussier when she is growing, so that is just a thought.

An ebf baby can go ten days without a bm. If you think her discomfort is from that you could always try baby massage, bicycle kicks, warm towel wrapped around tummy. Lately my LO seems to go when he's spent some time in his jumper.

When my LO first stopped going every day he acted really uncomfortable, but he's better at passing wind now, and we can always tell it's going to be a poo day when he wakes up super grumpy
You can check out the baby center poo guide. It's a visual, but helped me relax that he was not constipated and had just started absorbing more of the nutrients. HTH
Thanks for the advice everyone. I didn't know about her body absorbing more of the nutrients, but that makes sense. I'm happy to report, on day 3 she finally pooped! Never thought I would be that excited to see poop!

WSS. The jumper can be magical, or a car ride on bumpy road.
