Anybody think there's anything to that??? It'll be interesting to see how many announcements we get that next morning!
I don't know if it's real or not, but I work in healthcare and I swear a full moon will fill up the hospital, and the majority of the patients will be not in their right mind that night!

You're not the first to notice this! Way back when in London, people would actually defend their criminal case saying that the full moon was out. This is where the term "lunatic" originated!

Whaaaat? Crazy story but totally believable. How have I not heard of that before?

I worked in a homeless shelter for 4 years as a substance abuse counselor. Clients went nuts during full moons; relapses, arguments, physical fights, all kinds of formal complaints, etc. Well, all of that happened on the regular, regardless; but people were ALWAYS in my office during full moons. We all knew it was going to be a busy couple of days. I think it's anywhere people live communally.

I taught for 11 years and kids were always more bonkers during the full moon. There was a super moon when I was pregnant with DS...I did not go into labor. Lol
oooooo I hope this proves true for me, I would love a baby next week! I know I have a big baby in my belly and she's really trying hard to make her way out of my belly button, I think she is ready to see the outside world next week =D
I was going to add the same as iamthedoctor. Whenever my kids at school are acting particularly wacky, I check the calendar and usually it is a full moon. I pointed out the one next week to DH earlier this month and he asked if there was really something to it. I think so!
I'm convinced my water broke with DS because of the massive snow storm we were just starting to have. My baby is transverse so I'm looking at a c-section and I definitely tried to get July 31st (I love me some Harry Potter!). I didn't get it but there is hope with this moon, right?

I was going to post this same thing -- full moon next week, who knows. In DD1's due date group on FB, there were 2 babies born in May, both during storms and both during the full moon week (one gal in OH, the other in VT) but two days apart. It's supposed to storm here all next week.
My MIL really wants LO to come on the 31st because it's her mom's b'day. I wouldn't be opposed (this is the grandmother who passed her engagement ring and wedding band on to me), but I just don't see it happening.
Teaching dance I have noticed my students are way more out of control on a full moon day. So funny!
I sure I hope I don't go into labor on the 31st... It's my bestie's wedding! I was originally supposed to be a bridesmaid but declined. So glad I did cause no one wants to see these cankles up there! But gosh... I hope the full moon doesn't mean her day will be super crazy!
Someone in my office guessed my due date would be august 29th (actual due date is the 20th). Out of curiosity I looked up the full moon for august and it's the 29th. Here's to hoping she and the person who said I deliver on the full moon are wrong!
Being due on the 5th, I am perfectly fine going into labor on the 31st. It is not only a full moon, it is a blue moon (second full moon of July) which rarely happens so that would be pretty cool to have baby that day/night.
July 31st is the day we decided if I signup for the induction study and get chosen. With all this superstition AND it being HP's birthday that study is looking more appealing. I'll be 39+5 on the 31st so it's actually right when I wanted anyway. We'll see what doc says about my progression at today's appointment.
So glad I'll be done with summer school before this happens. Full moons make my students get a little rowdy. But hoping to continue inside baby status for a few more weeks. Stay put LO nothing to see here.
I work in a hospital and worked 7 pm til 730 am for 2.5 years. Full moons are the devil. I swear this is where the werewolf legend came from - full moons in a hospital.
I'm reviving this thread out of pure curiosity and just for fun. I wonder how many babies will be born in the next 24-36 hrs!
At my appointment yesterday my hairdresser told me that I was for sure going to go into labor on the blue moon - just as the sun is rising after the full moon. I'm holding her to it haha.
The full moon isn't until tonight right? I woke up because of DH snoring but now I can't get back to sleep because I think I might actually be having real contractions. They aren't really painful but are definitely different than my braxton hicks contractions. I would love a blue moon baby!
ETA: They are 10 minutes apart, lasting a minute. I can feel it is coming on by feeling cramping first. Come on baby girl, it would be awesome to meet you today!
