How was your due date determined? Does your doctor/midwife change it throughout the pregnancy?
If use LMP I get a due date sometime in February. O date gives 03/10/16. Ultrasound yesterday gave 03/12/16. (unexpected ultrasound due to intense cramping - everything checked out ok)
Not that it really matters since a "due date" is just a guess anyway but I feel like I need to pick one for my own purposes. Like I was going to post in the Thursday ticker change but then I wondered... Am I a Saturday ticker changer now? Lol yes over-analysis is my jam.
I'd go with whatever one your doctor's going with, they usually will pick and stick with it. It shouldn't change throughout the pregnancy.
I actually haven't had my first check-up yet so I'm not sure what date they're planning on using. We just had a quick meeting yesterday to go over the ultrasound results. I should check the patient portal though, I wonder if it's in there..
I definitely wouldn't use your LMP though, since the other 2 are close together and also LMP only works if your cycles are regular and you O on/near CD14, right? 3/10 and 3/12 are really close so if you don't know what your doc is using I would go with either of those.

I used my FF estimated O due date for my DD. My doctor's estimate was based on the first ultrasound and never changed but was 6 days later than my FF estimate.
I am curious to see what happens this time because I just gave a LMP date that corresponded to estimated O.
The only time I have heard of doctors around here changing due dates is in situations where the mom didn't know she was pregnant until past the window for an accurate dating ultrasound (10 or 12 weeks I believe).

If they're like my OB, they'd go with the ultrasound date. Which was super annoying for me, because we did IVF/FETs so we knew our due date because we knew EXACTLY the day they were transferred. Then I'd go see the OB and they're like "oh you're measuring a day ahead, so your new due date is blah". eye roll.
Post on the Thursday check in if you want though, no one will stop ya

I didn't know there was a dating window but this makes total sense. A friend of mine didn't have an U/S until what she thought was 12 weeks but then they moved her due date back by like a week. Then late in her pregnancy they ended up moving it again.

My FF due date based on O was 3/16. My LMP due date would have been 3/14. When I went in for my confirmation appointment I told them when my LMP was and that I have a 32-day cycle, not 28, and the nurse came back with a due date of 3/16 which lined up with my FF O-date due date.
I don't get any sort of ultrasound until 9/2 so there's nothing to conflict with the 3/16 date.

I'd use O-date, since ultrasounds can be a day or two off easily (next one you may measure bigger / smaller so your "due date" could change again).. but your doctor may use ultrasound date. Antecdote: My doctor has me at one day later (her calc on my O-day). I figure the odds of me actually giving birth on my due date aren't that great so.. it doesn't really matter. DS was born at 37 weeks+2d

I don't remember where I read it, but I saw someone say at some point that they just chose the one that was the furthest away so they would be prepared if the baby was due "later" than expected.
That seemed a good mind frame for me. At least until later in the pregnancy when it will be easier to tell what baby is really up to.
That said, when I had my US on Monday and they said I was measuring like 6 days behind what I thought based on LMP, I legit felt like I'd lost a week of my life. LOL. But I already WAS sick for that week!!
The scheduler at my OB gave me the same one I got on Ovia/FF, 03/25/16. I dont go for 4 more weeks for my initial appointment, so I'll be curious if it changes.

I tried having that mindset last time. I kept assuming that I would go 2 weeks past my due date. I didn't pack my hospital bag until my husband made me forcibly do it at 38 weeks. And then I was an emotional mess when I had to be induced a week early for pre-e. So, great in theory, but don't be all crazy about it like I was ;-)

Exactly! At this point I'm pretty eager to hang onto whatever days I can because dammit I EARNED those 2 days and I don't want to go back in time!! And using 3/12/15 seems silly because then would mean that I got my BFP at 7 DPO. <side eye>
But then I do know how easy it is to fixate on your due date towards the end so there is something to be said for mentally shifting the date forward too.

My biggest peeve last time was when I would go for a check up and the nurse would ask me how far along I was. We always conflicted because I had an IUI and pretty much knew exactly when I ovulated. We would be a day off from each other. So I would tell her and then she would "correct" me with her date. Why did you ask me in the first place? Towards the end, I just went with their date. I was late anyway so I guess it didn't matter. But it annoyed me every time.

My doctor goes by a dating ultrasound. He says lmp is not accurate at all. Which I agree my cycles are all over. With my dd my edd based on lmp was December 31. I knew it was wrong and my dating ultrasound said January 10. I still felt that was wrong because of knowing when we dtd. So after my IPS screening it came as January 5 and that's what we used, because that is the date I had figured out for myself. While dates don't completely matter it did play into my high risk doctors trying to hold out with inducing me until we were over 37 weeks. They were very focused on what was my edd.

When I was going through betas the doctor agreed there is no way going off my LMP would be correct, so I told them the date I am pretty sure I O'd. I'm anxious to see if they give me a due date at my first appointment and how close it will be to the 3/16 one I've been going off of.

Mine will be determined by LMP regardless (hospital policy). Since I wasn't temping, I'm not totally sure when my O day was and have based my mental DD on us DTD. Not to mention MS matched up to my tentative date. That's why I'm rolling with the 10th.
I know it's all relative anyway, but DS was 3 days late by O date and 5 by LMP, so it just gives me an excuse to ignore them if they push hard for an induction again.

Ohhh that is seriously obnoxious and condescending. Would have definitely annoyed me.

I'll find a my first appointment tomorrow! I'm pretty sure they'll go by LMP, based on previous experience, and I'm okay with that. O date and FF put me 4 days earlier, but I don't mind a later date to try to avoid induction down the road.

I sort of had the same experience with the first OB I saw when I was pregnant with L. Going off my LMP I knew my due date was 2/7 but for whatever reason she insisted it was 2/8. Yeah, one day makes absolutely no difference but when I said I was X 1/2 weeks she'd "correct" me and say otherwise. It was really frustrating. I eventually fired her for this and a host of other reasons.
I'm basing mine off FF/O day. I have longer cycles (PCOS) and know I didn't O til cd29. I'm pretty sure the only reason I'm getting an u/s next week at my intake appt is bc the nurse refused to listen to me about my cycle/O and used my LMP. Based on LMP they were concerned with my betas even though they more than tripled in 49hrs (and were fabulous for 13 & 15dpo). According to LMP I should be like ~9wks at my appt when I'll actually only be 7w1d. Whatever. It's just annoying when Dr/nurses won't listen to you about your own body.

My OB is using my LMP because both my u/s measurments so far have been closer to that date than what I think my O date was. They are about a week apart, but I don't think it'll matter much in the long run. I just kind of expect to go over my EDD anyway.
I posted an update in the appointment thread. It went great! Healthy heartbeat. Baby was only measuring 6w5d instead of 7w2d with an EDD of 3/13. I have my first prenatal appt on Monday so I guess I'll see then if the doc "officially" changes my due date.

I plan to lie about LMP because although it is only three days difference, I'm already mildly attached to my FF given EDD, especially when I saw that it is Easter Sunday!

I heard from the doctor about my U/S I had last week. They are changing my EDD from the 5th to the 11th. I feel like I just lost a whole week of baby growing progress...
