MrsTinMKE ugh that sucks so hard! DH's family and mom are like that. We've stopped giving them money but will occasionally buy them food. We have family priorities and are very clear about them to anyone we refuse. DH gets played all the time because he would give the shirt off his back for his family. It makes me crazy. Anyway, pp have given really good advice. Sounds like it's time to confront and keep it moving. Sorry that he reacts so immaturely and makes you worry about him. You care and that's what makes you a good sister. But set boundaries too!
That is the hard part when they say they have no food or the necessities. H doesnt have seemed to have seen these pictures so I may not bring it up to him.
I'm a big fan of honesty but I probably wouldn't bring it up. H and I fight about my brothers though so I don't like to bring up anything that makes him think worse of them.

Yeah it puts added stress on us that I don't want right now. We are working so hard to strengthen our relationship, and I don't want my brothers or family disrupting that.
swise22 From your pic in HDBD- do you like the duck baby bath thing?? I think it's adorable and have wanted one for a long time. I am tired of using the kitchen sink.
I know you asked swise22 but I have the same duck tub and love it. My LO plays in it, it has a drain and I don't have to fill up the whole tub. Most of the time he stays seated but he has used the sides to stand up and it hasn't tipped over on him.
MrsTinMKE, I'm sorry you're going through that with your brother. I think that if you really want to confront him you should but I don't know how much good it will do. From the way you're describing things he will probably ask you for help again at some point at which point you really need to turn him down. Tell him that you have your child to think about and can't afford to keep giving money away. If you're feeling generous tell him not to worry about paying back what he already owes you. It doesn't really sound like he's going to anyway so it won't be any more of a loss. If he gives you a hard time tell him how you really feel and how much he's hurt you. Don't let him convince you that you're being judgmental and bitchy because you aren't doing anything wrong.
So, it's TP Friday up in here! My DH is actually in order today, so I can spend my time doling out TPs. Our quiet Friday has turned eventful. We're putting the offer in on the house, I'm going running with my BFF, getting drinks with my family and then going to the downtown street festival.
Good luck with the house! Sounds like you have a fun day planned
Just got the kid down to sleep and now they are setting off fireworks in town. They are literally right outside our window. It sounds like a war zone out there. Please stay asleep baby!

ETA- why are they setting off fireworks?
It's some community days thing so they are legit fireworks, not crappy backyard ones or anything. It would have been cool to watch them if we didn't have a big tree blocking our view. In any case DD did not appreciate the grand finale. Neither did I.

We have a duck tub too. We do like it but I'm starting to feel like she'll outgrow it soon and we'll just sit her in the tub.
That's good to know. Thanks! Reviews online said wouldn't last past 9 months size-wise. But I want it so bad!!! :-)
