Confession...I ate lucky charms for breakfast before my workout this morning.
I also don't know why Tulas get so crazy expensive. Are they super comfy or something?
As far as soft-structured carriers go they're pretty comfy but most of it is just supply and demand. Tula is smart, they work the marketplace and hype up new patterns and limited releases. Same for wraps. I just saw a Pamir (plain, white wrap) sell for $2,950 on one of the swap sites today.
Is a Benz that much better than Hyundai? Maybe, maybe not but there are still going to be people lining up to buy them as long as the brand rep/cache stays up!
p.s. I'm eating skittles right now. Team Sugar for every meal.
A girl from high school posted on facebook last week that she's expecting in March. Everyone is obviously entitled to share their news when they want to, but it just feels so weird to me. Like you pee on a test then post it on facebook.. I don't know why I'm bothered by it.

Yea my cousin posted a pic on fb with her son wearing a big bro shirt to announce #2. In the comments, someone asked her edd and so I did the math. She literally must have run, bought the shirt & posted before the pee was dry. (And she had a mc before her son) To each their own. That's definitely not something I'm comfortable doing. She went on the have a healthy baby.

TRIGGER WARNING** I have a friend who posted on FB last July that she was due March 15th. So she must have just POAS, and she had 3 kids already. She told her kids too because they were part of the photo in the post. 4 or 5 weeks later, she posted about her miscarriage
Part of me is hoping my doctor decides that this pregnancy is considered high risk so I can get the Panorama/Harmony test done and have it be covered 100% by my insurance. While I am nervous about this pregnancy because I had a single umbilical artery and then a placental abruption at 33 weeks with #2 (making the risk for another abruption 10x higher), I'd really only want the testing done to find out the sex of the baby super early. The tests won't matter for what makes my pregnancy "risky."

I also had a placental abruption. They called mine a stable one though. I bled off and on with contractions off and on for a week (5 days in hospital) before they decided she was better off out than in. I was further along though, 37.3 when they induced me.

sunshineshades, It's a scary thing. I had an emergency c-section and was really freaking out. Did they figure out what caused yours? They tested my placenta and didn't see any reason for the abruption. I've read that the risk of a first one is 1% and the risk for it if you've had one before is around 10-12%.

I remembered my confession. I was pinning baby girl nurseries on my private baby #3 board. I told my mom about it and she was like "why bother?" Meaning....she's convinced I'll have a 3rd boy. It made me really stabby. I'm prepared to have 3 boys, but I don't want people just assuming I will... it's silly.

It's definitely scary. I was terrified of a complete abruption. They didn't test my placenta. They were mainly running off a theory because what wad happening was contractions & bleeding kept starting and stopping simultaneously.
Since then I've had testing for blood clotting disorders and auto immune disorders. That's more because of my loss history though.
My current ob doesn't seem too concerned about another one occurring (though yes it does increase your chances again), though we haven't discussed it in depth yet.

I've known several to do that. A lot even post the actual stick... Which, ew to me, you peed on that.
I don't know why it bothers me either. I don't judge it, it just makes me feel uncomfortable. So obviously it's an issue I myself have.
Baby wearing peeps, can you point me in the direction of baby wearing for dummies primer? I have a Ergo (I think?) I got from a BST site but I hardly used it and it seems huge for a newborn.
If you don't wanna buy an insert (they're kinda bulky and hot), just roll a receiving blanket under their bum to lift them up.
I was supposed to hang out with a few friends this week but with everything that has been going on, and my unplanned extra doctor appts, I lied and said I wasn't feeling well to one and that I had to take my sister to the doctor to the other (she recently had surgery). I feel bad but after a previous loss, I am not ready to tell people I'm pregnant especially if there is a chance I may be miscarrying again. One of those friends is a coworker and I just don't want everyone at work to know just yet. I feel like a terrible friend right now.

Try not to feel bad. Sometimes you just need to do what's best for you and this sounds like one of those times. I probably would have done the same thing and I really don't think tou should feel guilty about it.
No confession today, but just wanted to bitch for a second. H sent me the link for that "When did I last wash your hair" blog article. I was talking to him about it and started crying. His response? "Oh geez, don't be a dingus". Thanks, dude...real sweet of you. He apologized half-heartedly and that's the end of it. But, yeah, he's not always the most sensitive man.

Yea my longtime friend text me last night to say she was making a last minute trip back to this state & was hopping on a plane right then and wondered if I'd be around to catch up.
I don't think I could handle the 1+hr drive one way with this nausea and also hide how crappy I feel. So I lied and told her I was sick with a stomach virus and didn't know if I'd be up to travel.
Part of me feels bad bc I'd love to catch up with her. But the other part remembers the last time we talked (in March) she was griping at me bc she found out about our second mc on fb. Apparently it's my fault she was never available to talk about what was going on in my life.

Sleeping Beauty is just starting on tv. I won't be moving (ie doing anything productive) any time soon. #DisneyNerd
ABC Family? They're been showing Disney movies every weekend. Last weekend I watched 101 Dalmations and Mulan.
I love Disney movies! Frozen and The Little Mermaid are my favorite to watch. I'm pretty sure I know all the words to all the songs in both of those movies and I find myself singing them in the shower a lot.
I just tried to eat a pork chop straight out of the oven because I'm apparently an idiot. Totally forgot it would be extremely hot.
I somehow have forgotten about pork. I normally don't care for it much, but a pork chop sounds amazing. Since I want nothing to do with any other meat right now, I may be making a store run later to pick some up!
How old do you think is a good age to bring a child to Disneyland or Disneyworld? MH and I love Disneyland but we were talking about maybe waiting til they are 5 so they can actually remember it, and enjoy it. I will be bummed if I don't get to go back to Disneyland for another 5 years though.

Personally, MH and I are going to wait until they can enjoy it and do a lot of the things, so somewhere between 5 and 7. This is just our personal preference. I would also want to go to Disney when our kids are out of the nap stage. I don't want to have to lug everything back in the middle of the day for naps or haul around cranky nap deprived kids.

I'm a Disney freak, so I don't think there's a wrong age, as long as you've prepared yourself for the reality. I like to take babies and watch them stare at the colors and action and characters. I know I'll need lots of bathroom breaks and a nap in the stroller or carrier (I can eat or shop or poeple watch) and I know I won't ride many rides. But in my experience, the train and Small World are so much fun for little ones.
Of course, I live at Disney so it's not expensive and no big deal for me to go for only a few hours. You'll be able to judge better when you know your kid's personality.

I'm glad I can just sleep over your house when we bring the twins to Disney - it will be SO AWESOME with our 3 babies the same age!!!!!!

So this. My son's first trip was at 7 months. He obviously doesn't remember it, but we do. There were so many great memories. This trip will be his 4th. I've been over 30 times total to three of the resorts (Florida, California, Paris), not counting when I was a CM.
It's our vice though. Some people drink, or smoke, or shop. Our extra income goes to the Mouse.

Saturday confession: I finally felt decent today, and starving. I just ate half of a medium pizza, half of an order of cheesy breadsticks, and an entire order of hot wings from Dominos. Thank God H is at work and wasn't here to witness (or try to stop) that. I'm probably going to pay for it later, but it was worth it.
