When is your appointment? Today Weeks/Days? 7w6d Thoughts heading into the appointment? I wonder if my doc will change my EDD to correspond with the dating scan. I really hope not, I'd hate to "lose" a week. Also, I'm going to ask him if there's anything else I can do/take for these bloody headaches. They suck. **Update us! How did it go?
Thoughts heading into the appointment? Nervous for the dating u/s they're doing bc on my loss history and LMP/beta level discrepancy. I've never had a good u/s.

Thoughts heading into the appointment? Nervous because I'm overweight and I know they will want to talk about it, and it makes me sad that I wasn't in better shape for this pregnancy. Excited because I get my first ultrasound.
UPDATE: The appt was great! I got to see our little blobby, which is measuring a few days ahead (but we're keeping the 6th as the official EDD). I had a dream last night that we were having twins, but thankfully there is only one in there! Hubby is super excited and wants to tell everyone now.
My next check up appt isn't for 7 weeks, but I have my NT ultrasound on Aug 19th, which is also my birthday! Hopefully we can get a guess at the sex then. That would be an awesome birthday gift.

sdchick I had horrible migraines last time. My doctor put me on otc magnesium supplements. It helped so much! It pretty much took my migraines and most headaches away. Something to ask about, maybe.

When is your appointment? Our appointment was this morning.
Weeks/Days? According to FF, 6+3. According to LMP, 6+2.
Thoughts heading into the appointment? This was the check to see if there was a baby growing in there or not, so there was a little lot of anxiety going into this one.
**Update us! How did it go? OMG, it was beyond amazing!! There's a baby in there - with a heartbeat and everything! Seeing that little flicker and hearing the sound of the heart beating were the most amazing things I think I've ever experienced. I go back for my OB education appointment with a nurse on 8/20, and then see the doc again 8/24. Hopefully by then, we'll be able to hear the heartbeat with a doppler.

When is your appointment? It was this morning at 9am
Weeks/Days? lmp 7 weeks, going by my ovulation date 5w5d
Thoughts heading into the appointment? It was only supposed to be a pregnnacy confirmation appt but I know the nurse there and the ultrasound tech so they squeezed me in for an ultrasound, but I didn't expect to see a heartbeat yet. I'm measuring at 5w6d which is closer to my ovulation date (I ovulate late) so she set me up for another ultrasound next Monday at 7:30am. The heartbeat should be there then and I'll get my EDD then. I also found out that my hospital now does VBACs! So we will talk about that at my OB appt. They'll have to review my history and see if I'm a good candidate. My first was induced and after 56 hours I had a c/s anyway and my second was a scheduled c/s. I guess we'll see how it goes!
Thoughts heading into the appointment? This was a viability ultrasound. OB gave me an abdominal ultrasound at 7w0d and we couldn't see much, so he wanted me to come back to double check.
**Update us! How did it go? It went great! Baby measured exactly 8w3d and heartrate was 173bpm. After the spotting two weeks ago this was SUCH a relief.
Appointment went great! Doc says my pregnancy is off to a great start. YAY! Lab took 8 vials of blood, so be prepared FTMs! Oh and doc is going to keep my original LMP EDD of 3/8.
Only complaint I have isn't baby related. My mom babysat while I went to the doc. Well, she put DS down for a nap at 10am and of course he was waking up when I got home at noon so there goes my nap for today.

What great news! Does this mean we are due date buddies? I am 8w3d too!

This is the one thing I am dreading. Ugh. My poor hands are going to look like hell.
FX blackbird. Best wishes for an awesome appointment!
When is your appointment?tomorrow!
Weeks/Days? 9 weeks 1 day
Thoughts heading into the appointment? Can't wait to see the baby and hear the heartbeat! I want to tell people about this pregnancy but wanted to wait until after this appointment.
**Update us! How did it go? Heehee all is perfect! My last pregnancy ended with IUGR. It was great to talk to the Dr today about how that can affect this pregnancy and her plan of action. Lots of ultrasounds and I can expect to be induced before my due date if there is any indication at all of a problem.
Thoughts heading into the appointment? Do I ask for something for the nausea? I've always just dealt with it in the past. And feeling like crap is my reassurance that I'm still pregnant.

Crap 8 vials won't go well for me...I wonder if they'll let me do half and half :/
They took 8 for me as well. The lab tech just kept taking the vials out of drawers and laying them in a pile! The bruise is finally almost gone and it's been a week and a half. Hopefully they let you split it up.

They might not have a choice, I'll let them know they might not be able to get it all at once. Things were bad when I was having blood work every other day, maybe if it's been a while it will be ok :/
I think I had a lot of the tests already with my RE, maybe they'll accept those results?
From what I remember the tests included and HIV test, which is required by our state, an Rh factor test, and a bunch of others. Each one was required by our OB.

I had every std test, immunity test, and rh factor test with my RE.
I also had genetic screening done on myself and DH.
Im hoping we can decrease the volume here!
oh then I'd just have them call the labs or your RE. Screw taking the tests again. It's not like the Rh factor or your genetic results are ever going to change. If at most just do the HIV again.

Last pregnancy I was only able to give 6. They tried all over the place, but I just don't have good veins. 6 was enough for them.

Hands??? Ouch! They've always taken my blood from the crook of my arm. One pregnancy, they took 13 vials. Absolutely nuts.
ETA: Rh factor isn't just whether your neg or pos. For the neg ladies (like me) it also whether you've developed and antibodies to pos blood. Thank you Rhogam, all my babies after my 1st have been positive., but no antibodies yet.

Yeah, typically my hands are their best bet. My veins are apparently really tiny and they roll, so sticks in the crook of my arm tend to not go well. They've also gone in my forearm - I have a big vein there that they sometimes have luck with. With my RPL testing, which was umpteen gadzillion vials, it took 4 sticks in my hands so they didn't blow a vein. There were some really pretty bruises after that one!

So I guess a few days of brown spotting is enough to warrant an earlier ultrasound in my dr's office. Headed in for one tomorrow afternoon, 5 weeks earlier than my first ultrasound was supposed to be.
When is your appointment? Tomorrow (Wednesday)
Weeks/Days? 7weeks tomorrow
Thoughts heading into the appointment? Hopefully everything looks ok!!
