jocountry and jtizzay - How'd your appointments go today? Hopefully great for both of you!
I posted above. I'm mobile and horrible at tagging. It went awesome. Strong hb and growth graduating to an OB
Haha, oops! I had already seen your update before my post too. I just scrolled through the thread looking for anyone who said they had a Tuesday appt. I'll blame this one on baby brain.

My appointment was yesterday 7/28. I was 8w6d. It went really well! We got to see the little bean's heartbeat and i think we even saw it moving around a little bit - crazy! I also talked to the doc about my terrible m/s and he said to take the zofran but to go lightly, and just to hang in for another 3-4 weeks. I am dying here. it sucks. Looks like because i am so old, i am a candidate for the early blood test where they tell you about your risk of Downs, and we can also find out the gender! So that will be next week - cannot wait ! Oh yes, and i also had 8 vials of blood drawn. Ouch!
Hands??? Ouch! They've always taken my blood from the crook of my arm. One pregnancy, they took 13 vials. Absolutely nuts.
ETA: Rh factor isn't just whether your neg or pos. For the neg ladies (like me) it also whether you've developed and antibodies to pos blood. Thank you Rhogam, all my babies after my 1st have been positive., but no antibodies yet.
Thanks for this info. I went back to my records, I had these tests in December and I am B negative, the anti body screening test was negative as well.
My RE seems to think I can cut down on tests with the OB based on the ones he already did, he commented that they already took "500 vials" from me, which sounds about right!
Just a heads up, since you're negative, you'll have to have the antibody screening again at around 28 weeks. Odds are, you'll still be negative again, and get your Rhogam shot at this time to protect you during the final trimester. Oddly, they don't test you after delivery, (maybe because exposure is obvious?) but you'll get your last shot then, if your baby is positive. Of course, if your H is negative, you can blow it all off!
My appointment is today! New office for me and first time ever taking a baby to an appointment with me. Pray for me! haha I am nervous. I am totally prepared for a good lecture about my weight though. My appointment isn't until 3:40. Will update after!

Oh you are BRAVE! I'd 100% sure have high bp if I took my 18 month old with me and I'd win myself a lovely trip to L&D.

Oh not brave at all. Just no choice cause my husband used up all of his PTO at work! Hurry up January!
I had my appt today. Everything looked great! Baby measured 4days ahead at 7w5d and hb 148. I was an emotional wreck and started crying as soon as I walk in the u/s room. My past experiences had not been good ones in that room. I just stared at the ceiling crying until the tech finally asked don't you want to look? I saw the flickering and then she turned the sound on...cue more (happy) tears.
After she left the room, H just looked at me and asked if that was all good news?
Anyway I go back on Aug. 10th for first official appt with the Dr.

SO happy for you and that you had a great appointment!
Had my appointment today. So the office was huge and unlike my other office they do all the blood work and ultrasounds in their office. So that was a positive. They do ultrasounds on Monday and the us tech is on vacation so they gave me a script to go to the local hospital to get a dating scan. That will be this Weds.
Some odd things- once I walked in they asked if I brought a urine sample with me? Uh no. Don't you have cups here? Why would I bring it with me? They did have cups there just thought that was really weird. So the office is actually only one Dr. I met him for all of 5 seconds before he was all up in my lady parts. My back hurts now from all the pushing down he did externally so that sucked.
They all seemed nice enough although very busy. It is one Dr and one PA. The Dr. does all of the deliveries.
So upcoming I have ultrasound this Weds, next visit on August 12 with the PA and they will do blood test including the Harmony test at that appointment. I have never had an ultrasound this early and was never offered the Harmony test so that is exciting.
Hoping my ultrasound goes well. Interested to see how many are in there. I think there are two but I am probably wrong and being crazy
