I'll just add all my updates here. 38 weeks, 4 days 11am-2pm So, I was leaking what I thought was urine, but ended up to be amniotic fluid. A test at triage confirmed AF, so we were admitted to our room. 2 cm dilated, 50% effaced. 2:30pm-4pm All hooked up, receiving antibiotics for the strep, and they just started pitocin. Contractions every 5 minutes, but they don't really hurt yet, just crampy.
10pm Entertaining family is the hardest part, but now they're gone! I'm still only at 2cm as of an hour ago, but these contractions are insane, and really close together. Crank up that pitocin, nurses, let's get this done! They gave me Standol for the pain, I was planning on passing on pain meds but they can't give me the epidural yet, so SCREW THAT. They also just gave me something to sleep, so hopefully I can sleep through some of this. Zzzzz... (Your comments and support are wonderful!)
10pm-1pm No sleep, complete hell. Dialated to a 4. 1pm Epidural. Epidurals are magic. So much relief, so not sleepy. Watching Chopped with Hubs.
5:30am Jack Wyatt was born after two pushes and minimal pain! 7lbs 9oz 20 inches long. There has been swarms of family members, and mom and dad are in good spirits despite 0 sleep.
elizabethnevadap, are your panties soaked (I hope you are wearing them ms. no panties lady). If they are soaked and not just like a little wet (like if you sweated or leaked a little pee) then it most likely is your water breaking. And if you like feel it come out every time you stand up. If soaked call your doc.

Yes, I've been wearing them the whole pregnancy, although I hate them! Lol I put a pad on, and it's just trickles here and there that absorb into it quickly. Nothing soaked. Calling doc to be safe.

Try lying down and then standing up. If it gushes when you stand it more likely AF. Can you clench and stop the trickles? If so, its likely pee. Also, the pad is a good idea so they can test it at L&D.
elizabethnevadap, calling the doc is smart and best thing to do and without my medical degree my conclusion is pee if you are not soaking the pad!! keep us posted.

Weirdly enough, right when I posted that, the nurse called to follow up from yesterday's dehydration visit. I told her about the trickle, and she had my OB call me back ASAP. Going into Labor and Delivery As soon as my husband gets here, I had to call him out of an important appointment he was in. Because I'm strep positive, it can't wait. I know we need to err on the side of caution, but I'm fairly certain that this is just baby dancing in my bladder.
This is my thought, tmi sorry, when I had iud taken out last year, I had a horrible gusher of a period that followed a couple of cycles later. I was sitting at a breakfast restaurant and I could feel it pour out. It's going to come from up higher so if you cant feel it inside it is probably just urine or sweat. I have given up on panty liners -too much sweat.
