My area is suppossed to get 18-24 inches of snow? Huh, guess I better make more cookies. I'm really wishing I had the ice cream attachment, it looks kick-ass.
I have the icecream attachment!
I have never used it though hahaha. It was a free with purchase when I picked up my mixer.

Jealous! I think I'll ask MH for it next Christmas.
If the dog rings the bell to go outside in the snow, then Hobbes will go on Amazon to buy her dog booties. Once she's on Amazon, she'll forget about the booties and look at cookbooks. Since she's looking at cookbooks, she'll order paper straws for her drinks, because paper straws are the shit. Paper straws will make her thirsty, so she'll go into the kitchen, where she'll see her mixer and remember that she wanted to make cookies.

1.) preheat oven 350 2.) mix all ingredients 3.) spoon 1tb mixture about 1 inch apart 4.) flatten with a fork and sprinkle sea salt 5.) cook for 8 mins
Seriously a huge hit at parties. Enjoy
I make these all the time for DH because he has Celiacs
I am jealous of the kitchen aids. When we move into a bigger kitchen I will be purchasing one.
I need to clean and go to the grocery store today. And I really should meal prep. We never have food in the house and always end up eating out (translation: getting fat). Anyone have any good crock pot or make ahead recipes to share? We do salsa chicken and pulled pork in the crock pot but I need to get creative.
I've been doing a lot of soup and chili lately, which stretches stuff that you have out (cheap!) and can be healthi-fied! I made Italian wedding soup with turkey meatballs which was easy and not too bad for you.
That reminds me of a recipe for buffalo chicken chili on Pinterest that I need to try. Omnomnom.

I love my kitchen aide mixer. Its red with a skull sticker on it. I used it to make english muffins yesterday. I'm thinking of investing in the commercial series since I use mine so much.

English muffins! Do you have a recipe you can share? I love them but have never attempted making any.
My cheat for making cookies and not eating them all is to make the whole batch, then bake a few and freeze the rest. That way I can bake up fresh cookies whenever I'd like (aka all the time)

I have been doing that too! Except... I will totally go get a ball of frozen cookie dough and eat it.

This recipe is super easy. I also make my own bagels and compared to making bagels english muffins are super simple.
Important things to remember: 1. Use Bread Flour because you need the extra gluten 2. ALWAYS proof your yeast regardless of what yeast you use. 3. Do not let your milk boil when you scald it. I only let it get steamy and to the point where it just starts to stick to the bottom of the pan 4. Handle the dough as little as possible after the 1st rise 5. I let my dough rise a lot (3-4 hours between the two rises). I put it next to my husbands computer so the warmth helps it rise. This will give you those nooks and crannies you are used to. 6. The most important thing to remember is that these are not store bought english muffins. They will be different but I promise you, you will never buy store bought again.

I did this with my Christmas cookies this year... I made them a week or two early and then baked them as I had places to bring them to. I ate sooooo much cookie dough in December, lol. So bad.
I have never used it though hahaha. It was a free with purchase when I picked up my mixer.
Jealous! I think I'll ask MH for it next Christmas.
My in laws just got this for themselves... they really like it. It is good for a couple of people but it's not like you can make a whole big batch of ice cream for party or anything because you have to freeze the whole attachment before you make the ice cream.
I really want the meat grinder attachment and the rotating slicer grater one. I would love the pasta attachment but I don't think realistically I would use it often enough to justify the cost.

Check online - sometimes you can find deals on the attachments.
I have the pasta roller/cutter, meat grinder and ice cream maker, all received as gifts, but the buyers wouldn't have paid full price. I think my mom said she got the meat grinder somewhere for like $20?
I feel kind of evil today. MH is getting over the stomach flu & I made me him have the secks with me because I had a positive OPK today. #sorrynotsorry #atleasthedidn'tpuke

I did this and now proboards is showing me JCPenny ads for kitchenaid stuff. Haha
I have been asking for attachments for gifts for three years and no one will buy me any!! Lol, maybe I need to find a link to stuff on sale and give them that.
