Already Mommies (congratulations to all our new mommies)
LOs Age(s): 2 weeks, 2 years
Best part of your week? Giving DD her first real bath
Worst part of your week? DD is sick now
Milestones? Lost her umbilical cord.
QOTW: What is the hardest thing about being a new mom (or mom to 2+)? Most rewarding? Balancing their needs. Feeling like they are both not getting your best. Trying to protect DD from DS's germs was an exhausting exercise in futility and it really contributed to the feeling that I couldn't really be there for both of them since I was trying to limit their contact.
Most rewarding is watching them develop into their own little personalities.
Best part of your week? Bonding with baby and watching H bond with him too. Also, the victorious feeling of getting him to latch for breastfeeding.
Worst part of your week? Anything sleep related. I really don't care about anything (including baby) at night when trying to sleep. It's terrifying.
Milestones? Baby is HUGE (9 lbs 10 oz on Wednesday) and his umbilical cord stump fell off. We also did baby's first tub bath.
PIP those kiddos! Can't. Mobile. Just trust me that he's pretty damn cute.
QOTW: What is the hardest thing about being a new mom (or mom to 2+)? Most rewarding? The hardest thing is when I am tired and he's fussy and I just don't know what to do (See worst part of week). The most rewarding thing is looking at him and knowing I made this perfect little human and I will do anything to keep him safe and healthy.

Already Mommies (congratulations to all our new mommies)
LOs Age(s): 2 1/2 and 2 weeks
Best part of your week? Going to the indoor playground with both kiddos and having the place to ourselves
Worst part of your week? Realizing I'm pushing myself too much - take the dog for a walk = more bleeding, go to the indoor playground = more bleeding, even tidying the house and getting laundry done = more bleeding. I'll mention it to the dr tomorrow (LO has her 2 week check up), but I'm sure she'll just tell me to "take it easy". Yea, super easy when you're got a toddler and a super high energy beagle (and a newborn)
Milestones? Got our first 4 hour chunk of nighttime sleep this week. Hasn't happened again yet though
PIP those kiddos! Yea, haven't figured out how to do that here yet...
QOTW: What is the hardest thing about being a new mom (or mom to 2+)? Most rewarding? Hardest - DS is dropping his afternoon nap, and unless I SERIOUSLY tire him out in the am, it doesn't happen. It makes him a jerk to deal with in the afternoon because I have little patience (you know, up 3-4 times in the night to nurse LO) and he is overtired. Most rewarding - just knowing I'm doing it. Two kids plus the pets and everyone is getting fed and getting some sleep, and I'm on top of the laundry so we still have clean clothes. That's enough for the next couple weeks.

LOs Age(s): 2 weeks + 1 day
Best part of your week? My mom just got here today!
Worst part of your week? Feeling like I failed dd1 because I'm so stinking tired. I got an email basically letting me know we were being terrible parents by not getting her to school on time in the mornings, and I'd forgotten to send an important part of a project with her to school on time. Except her teacher is super sweet and was just kindly letting me know. I LOVE her teacher, but I think that made me just feel worse!
Milestones? S' umbilical stump finally fell off at 2 weeks exactly
PIP those kiddos!
QOTW: What is the hardest thing about being a new mom (or mom to 2+)? Most rewarding?
Hardest thing? Just having 4 kids is proving to be pretty hard. Coordinating is seeming to be a challenge. I know it will get better though. I will adjust. Most rewarding? S is recognizing me as being his life source He cried and cried when I handed him to DH last night to go on a quick run to Kohl's. He cried until I got home. Then stopped as soon as I took him back. Poor boy, I had just fed him and I figured he'd fall right to sleep on daddy. All of our kids fall asleep on daddy!
I have 4 little bears, just like my name says. 2 girls 2 boys ages 8,5,3, and my newest babe. 2 of my little bears have life threatening food allergies, feel free to ask me more about that!
Best part of your week? His stinky cord fell off and he got his first bath!
Worst part of your week? My mom left after helping for the first week. Then my MIL came but left today. No more help
Milestones? He slept through his first shopping and eating at a restaurant yesterday
PIP those kiddos! Mobile for now
QOTW: What is the hardest thing about being a new mom (or mom to 2+)? Most rewarding? We have 3 under 4 yrs old. Not sure how I'll get them all fed for breakfast and lunch and put down for naps with no help starting tomorrow . Most rewarding is seeing how sweet my girls are to their little brother (so far)!
