Water broke at 1:45am in true Hollywood fashion. Admitted with fetal tracer and epidural in place. Hoping to push but Baby A was transverse on Monday, doc seems to think baby may now be head down. Fingers crossed she is right! She will try to turn baby B from transverse to vertex after baby A is out. Lots of variables here so i appreciate any and all good juju. ----- No such luck with any cooperation from baby a. Had a non-emergent cesarean and babies were born around 9am central time. Team green is now team double pink! Pics/stats/names to follow. ---- Meet Cora Jane and Madelyn Rose! Both are unbelievably sweet, but are acting a bit more like preemies than we'd like. Breathing is great but there have been some feeding issues involving trouble keeping food down and apneac episodes after spitting up. I've been able to nurse with an assisted device that tricks baby into getting used to being at my breast while giving donor breast milk. I'm grateful for such beautiful girls but am struggling with how unprepared I am for dealing with preemie/NICU type issues. Thanks for all your well wishes!
