Hey there ladies. Yesterday I went swimsuit shopping and it was an epic fail. Because it's apparently already August the selection was terrible. Then when I finally did find something that I kind of liked I couldn't commit. I guess I'm not as confident about wearing a bikini after all. Oh well, guess I'll be hitting the beach in my old ill fitting swimwear. Hopefully my bewbs will cooperate and I won't have any wardrobe malfunctions lol
staryb, You are brave to go swim suite shopping, sorry it didn't work out. I have a hard enough time with regular clothes right now. Swim suite is not on my list.
Saturday before we went on our boat cruise, I had a hell of a time trying to find shorts to wear. 10 outfits later I settled on a pair of maternity shorts and tshirt. It is SO frustrating loosing weight, and my pants size is not going down at all! A friend told me over the weekend that you actually lose weight from top to bottom. I hope she is right because my hips and ass need to go soon! It was rough.
I slept like crap last night even though DD did great. I was awake from 2-4AM. I was going to sleep in a little but I had an all day meeting, which ended up canceling! So now I am going to leave and take my car in for service and nap this afternoon maybe. H is trying to convince me to trade my car in, but I can't come to gripes with adding another car payment. decisions, decisions
MrsTinMKE, try not to get discouraged, weight loss is such a sucky progress but if you keep at it you'll get there. I think you're right about the top to bottom thing, it's quite frustrating.
staryb you brave soul. I did buy a new suit at the beginning of the summer, but I don't love it. I just needed something that wasn't a bikini and wasn't my super stretched out competitive suit. You might try online for a better selection. MrsTinMKE sounds like a crap Monday. Enjoy your nap! Re: weight loss, I seem to lose from the outside in (face and neck, ankles, wrists, then waist and hips last.)
I am so tired. I even slept so long last night, but I can't seem to shake it. I think my body is trying to say "ok, now sleep 8 hours every night, and we have a deal." Guise, it's August. How the hell did that happen?
staryb - sorry you couldn't fine a swimsuit you liked. The thought of swimsuit shopping gives me anxiety, so I'm impressed with your ability to go try them on. Gingers crossed you don't have a wardrobe malfunction at the beach!
Edit because it tried to auto correct gingers to fingers. Unacceptable.

DH and I got into the wine last night. Why on a Sunday when we both work today, I don't know. DD, of course, slept like crap. Now I am dealing with my first hangover in over 19 months. I had forgotten how much they suck.
MrsTinMKE - sorry your meeting got cancelled when you could have been sleeping in. Hopefully you can get a nap this afternoon.
Re weight loss, my mid section is always the last place to loose weight. It's super frustrating. Especially when pants become too big everywhere but my waist, so if I go down a size and things fit my thighs I have a huge muffin top. But like staryb said keep up the good work and you'll get there. It's frustrating in between but worth it in the end.

I have a garmin vivofit, kind of like the Fitbit. It tracks sleep too. Some days I look at it and realize that while I got 8 hours of sleep I only slept deep for 2. Explains being so tired. I guess I've got nothing productive to add. Haha. Just solidarity. And coffee.

OMG me too! I'm finally starting to feel better. We went to a concert last night. It was outdoors, and I was finally feeling better after feeling like shit all of Saturday. I enjoyed way too many beers. But it was worth it.

So happy you enjoyed your concert!!! DH and I just sat and talked for two hours drinking wine from a box- we totally reconnected after a really rough week so the hangover is totally worth it!!

Wine hangovers are the worst. Have a little greasy food and you will be good to go.
Weight loss is super frustrating. I wish it were easier to lose in the areas you want to first. I need to figure out how to get this pouchy skin to firm back up. I'm hoping some of the core exercises my trainer is torturing me with will help that.
Hi ladies! I haven't been on here for a while. A lot of stuff going on with us right now. DH's boss asked him basically if he would be willing to uproot us from SoCal to NorCal in two weeks time. It's been such a whirlwind here but we managed to get a place and just finished unpacking yesterday. I feel bad for DS having to take him out of school and jiu jitsu and away from his friends. Oh, and we are 300+miles away from family. This is the farthest I've ever been away from my family.
On the bright side, we are excited to explore and experience new areas up here.
Cocomama I was thinking of you the other day! Wow! What a huge change! You'll be in my T&Ps as you all adjust. Glad you are finding the silver lining in the excitement of a new place.
Sorry about the hangovers supplycloset, jellykat2,. But I'm glad you both were drinking due to happy occasions.
Cocomama, What a big move! I hope you enjoy your new area!
Jennifer18131, congrats on the progress! You are an inspiration!
Swim suits are the devil and must be destroyed.
My mom came over the help watch the wild baby and DH and I got so much done. The house is looking pretty good so hopefully we will listing it for sale in the next couple of days!

I've been wondering where you were! That sounds like a crazy couple of weeks. Glad your looking at the positives and you're settling in. Will you be there for a while do you think?
Yayayayayyayay!! That's exciting! Good luck! Be sure to review those practice interview questions we did. I think the tequila leadership story will definitely get you the job!

Wow, that is a whirlwind! That's tough moving away from family and moving the kiddos, especially unexpectedly like that. Have fun exploring your new area though. Sounds kind of exciting
