Apparently we are in the 20-25 inch range for snow tomorrow and Tuesday. I'm hoping baby decides to stay in until after this junk is cleared! Anyone else in the blizzard zone?

Yup, 18-24" Monday 7pm to Wednesday 7am. Totally thinking about stretching this to two snow days. My supervisor is all "don't do anything strenuous" sooooo pancakes and sleeping in midweek might do me some good!
mands1125 I would be so worried too! I'm in SJ so this is a new experience for us lol. I have a high risk appointment tomorrow at 11am, hoping I'm done before it starts. Eek.

I opened this thinking it would be about Dairy Queen blizzards. Yum...I want ice cream!
Good luck with the snow, ladies. I've been stressing about snow happening here in NC in February. We can't handle snow and it scares me to think about not being able to et to the hospital. FX for the snow to be less than predicted.
My parents want us to go downtown and stay at a hotel tomorrow walking distance from the hospital. They had my sister call...figured I'd be more receptive to her suggesting it.

I thought this would be a post about DQ blizzards...so disappointed
But also in the mess in SE PA but apparently not blizzard zone. Really don't want snow days because I have kids to test and deadlines are fast approaching. I just took my dog out and it is starting to snow a bit booo (I love snow, but when I'm working, that shit needs to only be a weekend thing...)
You know I am! My family is placing bets that I'll go into labor Monday night/Tuesday morning. My husband also thinks that I'm going to make it happen (If I knew how to go into labor on demand, I'd be a millionaire.) I guess I'm known for having a taste for dramatic events? (Who, me?) I don't actually think it'll happen, but it would make for an exciting story- a blizzard baby!
Hoping to extend my three day weekend into a four day weekend here in Massachusetts! Glad all my appointments are tomorrow before it starts. Maybe I can even use the time or organize my nursery and write thank you notes.
Here in Oklahoma its going to be in the 60s or 70s all week.... I don't think Oklahoma knows what winter is anymore. Although I'm sure we'll get our normal ice storm come February. :/ Thoughts and prayers for you guys up north!
Ugh, I'm undecided about what to do. There is a hotel about 3 blocks from the hospital that isn't too expensive, plus has wifi. Cable would be fun? I just like being at home though especially where we live where you can watch the snow. It just seems a bit overly dramatic. Then again, if I go into labor and am trapped at home I'll be pretty mad. We have until about 3 or 4 pm to decide. Thoughts?
In re-cap: Due Feb 1, so 39 w 1 day today. I live about 20 min from the hospital on a good day. We are in the "red" zone with up to 30 inches expected. DH and I have small cars, but we do have a snowblower, and the road we live on is one of the first in our town to get plowed. Then we can do main/but non highway roads to the hospital. Babies in my family tend to come late, although this is my first, so who knows.
WWYD? Go to hotel tonight/possibly tomorrow night, or stay home and hope no labor?

South-Central PA here, so not in the thick of it, but in the mess for sure.
Made it to work safely this morning, with the intention of leaving early if things start looking bad. We're supposed to be getting 2 inches an hour with 30-40 mph winds.
I'm an accountant, so no heroics for me. The journal entries can wait.

flyster -- If you had a large vehicle I'd say stay at home. But with small cars I wouldn't risk it! Bring your own blanket and pillow to the hotel and Netflix it till it stops snowing.
flyster I'd probably go to the hotel if it was me. That's just too close for my worry brain to handle.
I'm honestly thinking of doing it just because I don't think I can handle my parents calling and checking in every 2 hours. I really don't "feel" like I'll go into labor for what its worth, but them freaking out for the next 48 hours might be enough to push us over the edge.
