I am! I'm a teacher so we actually have a half day today but I had to take a sick day to take my stuffy, suuuper cranky baby to the doctor to make sure she doesn't have an ear infection. I'm assuming I'll be home tomorrow and possibly Wednesday. And right now I am sooo relieved that we got a whole house generator installed last year.

2ft of snow expected here tonight. DH is hoping for the day off tomorrow and possibly Wednesday.. The governor issued a warning that roads will be very hard if not impassible and public transit will be shut down. So we're pretty sure work has to be canceled. I have to get to the grocery store today, not looking forward to it.

I only work part time but my shift is cancelled tonight. Right now I am debating whether to venture out quickly this morning just to get DD out of the house for a bit. I'm excited for DH to have a short day today and possibly off tomorrow, making a pot of chili in the slow cooker and definitely planning on some big girls drinks after DD goes down tonight.

Include me but I'm fortunately on the smaller end of the totals (at least as of right now but you know how weather people are). Our office only closes if the Governor closes the roads for all nonessential personal. I'm crossing fingers that daycare doesn't close because I'm swamped at work. My folks are more than willing to watch her if she's sick or daycare is closed for a holiday and my office isn't but snow, forget it.
Those North of me, be careful out there if you had to go into work.

Dh was supposed to leave for a business trip to NYC yesterday and his flight got cancelled because of the snow in our area. This led to his trip being cancelled as his meeting was supposed to be this morning. I'm so glad cause I'm guessing he would have been stuck there for a longer period of time than originally expected. Good luck to those of you in that area! It sounds like it's gonna be a doozy!

Yep, north Jersey here, expecting 18-24. DH is working, probably a 24 hour shift, yay health care! So I'll be hunkered down with DD and our beagles. Got the wood burning stove going and I'm just hoping we don't lose power.
What the heck do you do with horses in that situation?? We are supposed to get about that much also but I only have one lazy beagle to deal with!
I bring them into the barn, give them extra hay, fill every extra bucket and trough I have in case we lose power. Then we go out every hour or two and clear the path to the barn so I can definitely get out there to feed. It suuuuuuuucks.

My dad works for the state and he's hoping all "non-essential" employees will be told to stay home. If pubic transit is going to shut down, that seems likely.
ETA: My sister told her boyfriend they were getting 20-30 inches and he said, "Are you sure that's not a typo?"
And here's my dad cleaning what he already has from over the weekend.

Thanks @usernameedit We are expecting 2-3 feet here in MA. The snowblower and generator are all set to go and DH did food shopping this morning. School (work for me) was cancelled for tomorrow and I'm sure we will be out Wed as well. Yay snow! I'm actually looking forward to staying home with my little man all day and playing
I'm too busy looking at all the school closing updates to find out if DD's daycare is closing early even though her teacher did ask me who should they call if they do rather than working.
We're getting 2-3 ft. DC is closing at 2:30 and DH is leaving early to get DS. Both of our offices are already closed for tomorrow. I'm worried about losing power but not much I can do about it! Just anxious to go home because it's already snowing.
We're getting nothing in DC. Maybe a couple inches. I'll be lucky to get a delayed start at this rate. Thanks for nothing, winter.
DC here as well. See what will happen to me is that daycare will have a delayed start and work won't so I'll have to take damn vacation time. Grrrr....
