FFMC: I picked the kids up from daycare last Tuesday, which DH usually does. Well, DS1 peed his pants at naptime, so they had changed his clothes and stuffed the (very) wet ones into a bag and sent it home with me along with the other million things that normally come home from daycare on a daily basis.
Fast forward this morning and I get in my car and it stinks SO badly. I had no idea what it was...did I leave my gym clothes in here? No. An old cup of milk? No. Food? No. Well, it was the nasty bag of pee-soaked clothes. I almost vomited.
In fairness to me, I'm not used to doing pickup and having all that crap to bring in from the car. And it seems I brought every OTHER thing inside - just not the nasty ass stinky bag. I can say with 100% certainty that I'll never make that mistake again.

lioness13 No biggie. I get it. My mom acts surprisingly like that, too. (She even tells me what the weather is like for me, and is surprised when I tell her "no, it's actually not raining now, I don't care what the weather report said."
She also won't tell me important information, either. Or slip it in the conversation after telling me lots of random crap that doesn't mean anything.
And yes, I'm with you on making sure our kiddos don't feel the same way. I really want G and me to have a better relationship than I have with my mom.

BTW, should I get into watching Parenthood from the beginning? You guys say it's great, but you also talk about how much it makes you cry. Not sure the benefits outweigh the risks here.
And thanks to everyone for the kind thoughts about my grandmother. Sorry I was too busy venting about my mom to give an update. I am upset and anger is the easiest emotion to express. That might have been a little dramatic. I may get that from my mom. Oops....
As soon as I got off the phone with my mom I called my grandmother. She sounded awful. She is in a lot of pain in her back and side and they aren't sure why. They did a lot of tests in the ER and said something about her liver. She is 82 so it could be anything at her age. They looked at her, gave her morphine, a prescription for Tylenol and sent her home. She has an appointment with her doctor this morning so she is on her way there now. Hopefully her doctor will be able to pinpoint what it is. She may end up being admitted to the hospital so they can manage the pain. Please send a spare thought or prayer for her comfort.

FWIW I freaking love Lauren Graham.
I would start it from the beginning so you know the entire back story and stuff. It really is a good show!

My boss being on vacation means I have absolutely nothing to do..I am sitting here waiting for the phone to ring (if anyone calls) and waiting for the mail to come. I'd rather be at home with my baby!

SAHMs: Did YH/SO help with MOTN wake ups when they went back to work? H has been getting up for diaper changes (we're down to one most nights) and I feel like an ass for making him get up.
The dynamic was ever changing. El was not a good sleeper in beginning so I usually took the feedings and he would manage her if it was a diaper or comforting thing, so he still generally got up with her once or twice. It was a good thing later on because she's never been one to need one or the other for comforting.

I survived the grocery store in preparation of "snowpocalypse!" I'm actually looking forward to a good storm (UO?) I just hope we don't loose power. Prayer for your grandma lioness13. I hope she feels better soon.
Y is sick! She caught a cold so shes congested. Praying that she doesn't get fever because going to the hospital in this weather will be a nightmare. I feel terrible that I let her get sick. My In laws house is always cold and people in the house over the weekend must have had a cold or something. Majorly upset and annoyed for her
I hope she is okay and feels better. Saline drops helped when DS was congested although, he hated me putting them in and fought me

DD was given a Sesame Street DVD from an older cousin. The other day, she confidently opened the DVD case, walked over to the DVD player, opened it up and pushed play. I'm proud, but also worried about what else she will try to put into the DVD player. And maybe a little ashamed that she has watched me put in the DVD often enough to figure out how to do it herself.
Ugh. So tired. I didn't fall asleep until after 11 last night and M woke up hysterically crying at midnight. DH went to calm her down but then I was wide awake. Finally fell back asleep and she did it again at 1:30. DH again went to calm her down and then I finally fell asleep only to be woken up by a bad dream around 2:45. E work up at 3 for a bottle. Got back to sleep around 4:30, E woke up again at 6. Never got back to sleep. Ugh. So. Tired.
It is supposed to be 70 here today. I plan on enjoying it, but I kind of wish we could get hit with a big snowstorm. The panic, the pictures, the silly news updates.
