M has been trying to stick fingers in his own butt during diaper changes. I really, really hope that phase passes quickly.
Oh gosh, that makes me laugh. We used to let El run around diaper free for a little bit in the evenings to help her skin but we had to stop because she kept trying to play with her buttcheeks.
M is one cranky toddler today. I'm really hoping she falls asleep soon because E is asleep now but won't be for long. And M won't sleep if E is up! Plus we are watching Madagascar for the billionth time. If she sleeps I get to turn it off. Please God let me turn it off! I have Revenge on my DVR and I need to watch it!
BIL invited us to a super bowl party at his house - FB invite. He has a 2 year old son and most of his friends that he invited also have children. He posts on there "It's obvious that people have more fun when there are no children present, but I understand that its not always easy to find a sitter. I would prefer it be an adult only party but if people can't find sitters, then I will consider other options."
Ummm, obviously we would have more fun? I told H I wasn't going regardless because he annoys me and and this didn't sit well with me. It's a Sunday night - I'm not asking MIL to watch O even though I'm sure she's already watching their son since he won't be there. We were invited to another friend's house or I'll just stay home.
WTF does this mean? Either have the balls to say its Adults Only or not.
I am not caught up. Monday afternoon and I'm already 3 pages behind! I just have to get it out of my system that the MOST ANNOYING THING EVER is thinking I have all the laundry done, like every single thing - towels, sheets, baby clothes, grown up clothes - an then finding a pile of effing husband socks under the corner of the bed. That's a foot and a half away from the hamper. ARG!!!!
We are home early because DD threw up at daycare. Then she spit up all the way home in her car seat. I should just take it outside and hose it down, right??
My husband got out of work early. One plus side to being snowed in the next few days is that im supposed to ovulate today or tomorrow. We can have all the sex!
blondie - my H feels bad that hes not helping (total 180 from the first week or so) with feeding and wants me to wake him/gets up with me so he can swaddle her and put her to sleep if shes not already sleeping and then go to work the next day. But he also needs a lot less sleep than I do to function properly. He also gets up with B so I can sleep in with Y if shes sleeping. And on weekends and even some weekdays he will take Y for an hr or so in the morning so I can get a little sleep if I didnt get any the night before.
I remember your frustration about this. So glad things have changed
Also, you should all be so proud of me -we did some errands yesterday and Y needed to eat so I fed her in Target in a fitting room - I was nervous at first but it really wasn't so bad...more nervous about this weekend. Dh wants to take me out for my birthday -obviously if Y doesn't take a bottle, she will be joining. Dh doesn't care what he has to do to get me to be comfortable to nurse in a restaurant if need be. Its really sweet how supportive he is.
I have a college acquaintance that I'm friends with on Facebook who always goes on about her childrens' "gluten sensitivity" (there is no such thing, and it's funny how it magically goes away when she brings home Chick Fil A), how she treats ear infections with garlic oil, and now of course I find out she doesn't vax. She has 4 young children. I don't have the energy to get into it with her. Also, for every 1 polite post explaining why she should vaccinate, she has 4 of her like minded friends telling her to stand firm and not do it. Her children always look so sickly to me. Every picture of them shows them with this weird pale or sallow skin coloring and bags under their eyes. The entire situation just makes me sad.
cl8badb how do you like your coffee? Or what is your morning drink of choice?
I tend to prefer iced coffee. Majority of the time its decaf. If im home i put a little sugar in the raw & sometimes almond milk. If i get it at dunkin i like it with one pump of caramel.

This morning I went in to get Brady from his crib and he was sitting down and looking at me. I said "good morning," and he said "Drew?" (that's big brother's name for anyone who didn't already know that).
I told him "Drew's in the other room - want to go see him?" and Brady got a giant smile on his face and his eyes just lit up. He immediately jumped up and reached out for me to pick him up.
It was the cutest freaking thing ever. I love that he loves his big brother so much!
Andplusalso, I asked Drew this morning who his best friend is. He pointed to me. Then he said "And Brady, too!" Heart.Melted.
