I took my dog to the vets last week because she wasn't eating. They ran son tests, which I've just got the results from, and she has stomach cancer. Because its stopping her from eating, she cant have pain killers, and its spread too much for the vets to consider treating it. So we are having to have her put to sleep tomorrow.
I'm so so sorry. We had to put our beloved golden to sleep a little over a year ago because she got cancer. It was the hardest thing I've ever gone through. Just know that you are doing the right thing - it's hard to let go but at least they don't suffer anymore.
So sorry, I dread the day something like this happens to our dog, especially since DD is really starting to interact with Ada. You're making the right choice though, no need to let her suffer.
Big hugs! This is literally one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. Be kind to yourself, let yourself feel all the feels and love her tons between now and then. I am so sorry!

I am so sorry to hear this. We unfortunately had to put our six year old Cane Corso to sleep this past January due to an untreatable heart condition that came on suddenly. It's so hard to process when it's unexpected. As hard as it may be, you are doing the right thing by not prolonging your dog's suffering. Shower her with love and cuddles today and I'll be thinking of you tomorrow and during the next few days. Hugs to both you and your furbaby.
