I'm Krystle. If anyone else wants to run this check in-feel free!
When is your EDD? Haven't been to the dr yet but based on LMP 5/7
When is/was your first appointment? Scheduled for Thursday...Thursday needs to get here.
What are you most concerned about right now and how do you plan to cope? Right now I'm concerned about two things..my blood pressure and thyroid levels. I'm pretty sure my blood pressure is a bit elevated so I need to be put back on meds. We'll take care of that Thursday. Hopefully the OB will test my thyroid levels too since my endocrinologist didn't want to see me back for a month.
What is it that puts you in the HR category (if you want to share)? High BP Lack of thyroid Cancer survivor Overweight Baby with birth defect
Tell us something fun/interesting/unique about yourself.
My daughter and myself have matching scars. We were both born with a very similar but different birth defect but the surgery to correct them was identical.
Mine was a duodenal atresia hers was thought to be the same until they opened her up and found she had an annular pancreas which caused her blockage.. We were also born at the same gestational age to 27 year old mothers.
Thank you ivedonethisb4! It sounds like Thursday is going to be a big day for our board! I don't really know you much, but I imagine you and your baby must be really brave and strong.
When is your EDD? 5/10
When is/was your first appointment? Was 8/2, blood work and GI Dr. today then first u/s Thursday! Agree, Thursday needs to get here.
What are you most concerned about right now and how do you plan to cope? I am most concerned about making it to my next appointment... my losses have been early and I'm just scared I won't make it to Thursday or I'll get there Thursday and something will be wrong. To cope I'm taking comfort in the fact that the Dr.s have been "on it" since an hour after my BFP, they're monitoring me as closely as possible, and they've got me on baby aspirin and hopefully that will be the ticket for my bean... so if I have a chance at a successful pregnancy... this is it?
What is it that puts you in the HR category (if you want to share)? Well, I'm sure I have neurocardiogenic syncope (NCS), which means I'm extra sleepy & black out & faint a lot, which is not really a big deal even for a pregnant lady apparently. I'm really considered "high risk" because I have "something autoimmune" going on (specific, right?). And the most "fun" part of all is that I have zero symptoms of the diseases I apparently test positive for unless they overlap with my NCS. So far I've tested positive for rheumatoid arthritis, but then negative, positive twice for lupus, but when they looked deeper it was not positive for lupus but for scleroderma and borderline autoimmune liver disease. The scleroderma is apparently benign because of no symptoms, and I'm going to the gastroenterologist today to look into liver disease. I DID see a hematologist last week and she confirmed I have an abnormal anticoagulant profile which is a protein in my blood, commonly found in people with autoimmune disease, and makes me more prone to clotting, so it's possible I keep clotting off my placenta. So hopefully the aspirin is keeping my placenta flowing?? I think that's the nutshell version.
Tell us something fun/interesting/unique about yourself. I love to do woodworking and build my own furniture! I bought myself a table saw as a pity self-gift after my last loss. Right now H and I are finishing up a hutch to go on the desk we built.
What are you most concerned about and how do you plan to cope?
I'm most concerned about pregnancy loss and my SCH. My coping plan is to rest but stay mentally busy so I don't think about it!
What puts me in the HR category: autoimmune disease (celiacs), insulin resistance, RPL (3 losses- 2 early and 1 at 10 weeks), Acardiac twin history, now SCH (just found out yesterday).
Something fun about me: I have two westies I'm obsessed with!!

I may or may not be this time around. For now I'm assuming I'll be here.
When is your EDD? May 14 When is/was your first appointment? Trying to get it worked out now
What are you most concerned about right now and how do you plan to cope? Finding a competent VBAC doctor What is it that puts you in the HR category (if you want to share)? I have a bicornuate uterus so I have a higher chance of miscarriage and preterm labor from a failing cervix. My last pregnancy it caused no issue, so I'm not sure if I'll be in this category this time around.
Tell us something fun/interesting/unique about yourself. Before DS I was an avid figure skater. I was pretty darn good!
