It's raining so our fun afternoon plans are squashed. We might just do a movie later with some of DDs friends who live in the building (for another week! wah, I liked having other kids around for her)
surprisepartysue as much as I love the holidays and decorations I'm sort of... incredibly relieved we have none of our holiday belongings. I'm going to skip it all this year. DD is young enough to not care about a tree still, she'll just be happy to get presents and I don't think we're having visitors for Thanksgiving so NBD.

I have to go to a family get together by noon. I still haven't really gotten out of bed, except to get my teacher's guide to do some lesson planning. I got up three hours ago to get it and still haven't opened it... I blame our dog Lucy. She's been napping on said book, and I feel it would be mean to wake her...
surprisepartysue, So glad you mentioned this. I should probably try to do something soon. My poor summer flowers are all dead in their pots/hanging baskets (I suck at gardening), one of my two adagio grass clusters didn't really grow in well this year (seriously, it's so sad looking--a few strands of grass about a foot tall--while the other is currently taller than I am...), and I never actually changed out my wreath from January (It's a pretty curled birchbark wreath, I felt like I could sort of get away with it?) My front yard is in desperate need of pumpkins and cornstalks and a more season appropriate wreath. Or, at the very least, pots filled with something that's still alive... One of these days, I'm bound to get better at being an adult...

Happy weekend! After having company and traveling the past three weekends, I am thrilled to be staying home.
I went to the farmer's market with E this morning and once I finish my coffee, I plan to get my house cleaned up, hopefully by nap time at 1, so I can relax too. I think my husband is going to take E out in his wagon, so I can clean faster! We have friends coming over at 3 and staying for dinner with their 7 month old.
Tomorrow just church and more relaxing. I love weekends like this.
My running group met for the first time after our summer break, so DH and C spent the morning together. It was nice to have some adult time but I'm pretty sure C will be glued to my side for the rest of the weekend.
I think we're going to our town's apple festival this afternoon and tomorrow will be errands and maybe a trip to the park. I may do fall decorating, but it's so nice and summery today that I may put it off another week.

I'm sad that my farmer's market didn't have any more corn today. Local season is over. You are all like "fall! Pumpkins! Leaves!" And I'm all "but the corn!" Haha
I don't decorate for anything other than Christmas. Is that...weird?
When I moved out my mom sent me a package every holiday with a few decorations, so I usually put those out. If she hadn't done that I would probably only decorate for Christmas (plus carved pumpkins for Halloween). I have eyeball salt and pepper shakers from her for Halloween. I love them!
I want McDonald's breakfast so badly this morning.
***food warning complete***
Also, after looking at the STM+ question of the week, I feel like I should start doing something to get ready for this baby.
I got McD's breakfast this morning, and it was glorious. I even had a sausage, egg, and cheese McGriddle, and H and I decided that it is for sure sprinkled with crack. IT WAS SO GOOD. If you didn't get it today, treat yourself tomorrow!
Good morning! I'm still in bed but I need to get up soon and get started on some cleaning and putting away laundry. We have friends coming over tonight to hang out. I need to go to the store and return something too but I am so damn lazy.
Tomorrow is the Seahawks game so I need to make a few casseroles for people coming over. I really hate hosting things twice in a row but, we plan to tell more people about the pregnancy tomorrow so it's a good thing.

::sigh::
I have a wedding shower to go to tomorrow at noon, so I don't think I will catch the game. I think it may be for the best.

Oh I had it, and it was glorious. Who knew that McD's could give me a foodgasm. I really needed it.
My mom always decorates for all holidays. I only do a tree for Christmas. I would love to decorate for other holidays but I'm lazy and it's just too much work
I don't decorate for anything other than Christmas. Is that...weird?
Definitely not. I only do Christmas and Halloween (because I love it so much.) I have grand plans to someday have an outdoor wreath for multiple seasons/holidays, but as you can see in my prior post, I have had the same winter wreath up since January...So...That's about how well that's going. Who has the time? Though I must say, my holiday decor Pinterest board is full of fabulous good intentions. So there's that.
It's actually really common for doctor's offices to do that, send a bill or setup a payment plan for charges they expect you to have. I know about it and still think it's complete BS. Your credit card doesn't say "you have a limit of 5k so pay that up front and we'll refnd you if you don't buy that much". Let me pay for charges I've accrued and leave it at that. The nice thing about large hospital systems is that you can usually setup a payment plan.
Total bull that they ask you to pay so much money without even having the services yet.
We have been looking at names for baby. Right now his top picks are Rachel and Jonathan.
Do you like them too? We are never going to have a boys name picked. My husband is so picky about names. I think I have convinced him of the girl name I want though!
I have been laying around watching movies all weekend. They have been playing a bunch of Disney movies on tv so I have watched Sleeping Beauty, Wreck it Ralph, Pocahontas, and now I'm watching Cinderella. And then last night I watched The Sixth Sense - such a good movie!
My husband and I's anniversary was Thursday, and we thought about going out last night to celebrate, but I have been feeling so icky that we just stayed in. **food warning** DH picked up Cheesecake Factory take out and we ate that at home. I had pasta and bread (shocker)**end food warning**
Lazy Sunday here. I'm not feeling so great so I'm planning to continue the laziness. This is one of those days I miss live tv because it would be a good football day.
renbee I'm a Steelers fan and MH is a Browns fan. We're both from Ohio but I have family in Pittsburgh and my uncle got my mom hooked years ago. House divided here too.
