See I get prenatal vitamins prescribed to me through my insurance but they don't have DHA in it. So I have to get a supplement. I bought OceansMom DHA and I noticed that and a lot other ones have anchovies in them. Was kind of looking for a vegetarian based, and I thought there was a limit on fishy things. So I am kinda leery on taking them but I looked all over online and it has good reviews. I was wondering if someone found something better.

I was getting free vitamins at Meijer, but I can't stand the thought of them for some reason. It's weird because I don't really have much nausea otherwise. I went and got the gummies instead and they're much better. They do have DHA. I am not too worried about iron because my hemoglobin is great.
I'm now completely jaded about prenatal vitamins -- really, all supplements -- in the U.S. This is the list I used to pick my prenatal vitamins: labdoor.com/rankings/prenatal-vitamins -- I stopped using NatureMade after I saw this list, and now use one of the raw ones (Garden of Life) that had a much better efficacy rating.
If you search DHA supplements on the same site, you can find the efficacy rankings for those as well (it's amazing how far off label some are for DHA content). I have the Nordic Naturals ones in my cart at Amazon right now -- still finishing the Garden of Life DHA that I originally bought (but then later discovered on Lab Door is not great).

Yep I see Garden of Life Oceans Mom #13 on the list. Thanks so much for this reference site. I'm going to take the Oceans Mom DHA for now since I already bought them and then start taking the Nordic Naturals.

No worries I take the Garden of Life prenatals that have amazing reviews -- three horse pills a day, blech -- it's just the DHA that doesn't seem that great for that brand.
I don't think people realize how far off their vitamins can be from the listed content on the bottles...particularly in the case of gummi vitamins. Unfortunately, we don't fund the FDA nearly enough, so this is unlikely to change -- these independent lab sites seem to be the second best option.
