1. DS is being super whiney today. Is it ok to feel annoyed?
2. He left half his breakfast too. Kept acting like he was super sleepy, after being up for only like 1.5 hours.
3. He's currently snorting in happiness in his jumper
4. My neck hurts from sleeping weird.
5. I've had this dull crampy ache for a few days. The hypochondriac in me thinks the worst. It's probably nothing right?
6. I took the BM dress in yesterday for alterations. I'm not happy about the additional $100 in alterations on top of the $300 for the dress.
7. I'm feeling very blah today.
8. DH has a huge work conference in LA in two weeks with all the big guys from work, & he actually asked me last night if moving was an option. I said unless it was for a promotion, I don't want to go anywhere.
9. Must. Eat. Lunch.
10. Drinking soda. Super health for my weigh loss goals right?

1. I don't handle whining well, it's like nails on a chalk board for me.
6. Where did you take your dress and what all are they doing? I'll need to take my BM dress in for alterations in a few weeks.

The dress is from Nordstrom, so they're altering it. They have to remove like ten inches off the hem. I get the $100 back in a Nordstrom Note, so it's not the worst thing ever. I shop there A LOT. It's an addiction.
Nope. I'm not a huge fan of shopping, especially after baby. Since I'm only 5ft tall finding pants/dresses/skirts that fit is rather difficult, so I tend to stick to stores where I know I can find stuff.

Went to Nordstrom rack when I was preggo. Not a good idea. Can't wait to not be broke from maternity leave and get some clothes that fit! It stinks being post pregnancy and not feeling pretty.
My close to 10 things. 1. Forgot parts of my pump when I went into work yesterday. Ouch! One 4-hr day won't hurt my supply right? Fingers crossed. 2. I thought working part time would be an easy transition. Not true. 3. DD slept for 8 hours straight two nights ago. I lI've her sleep schedule. Im spoiled in that dept for sure. 4. The Vax thread has me all paranoid now! 5. My dad stayed with me this week while DH worked his 7 day 12 hr shifts. SO MUCH HELP! Wish MIL was like that haha. 6. DD is in her first 3-6 month outfit today! Aaaaaah! 7. I know some of us arent second hand clothes buyers but I love the $1 sale that Once Upon A Child is having now! I got 15 items for $15!

narbuckle01 #3 Be weary of the 4mo wakeful (4MW), it is quickly approaching you. It is very real, has been known to last several months, and will fuck you up. In other words, enjoy this sleep while you can, and may the 4MW have mercy on your soul.

WHAT?!?! I need to go like NOW!
Edit: Because, just for the record, I don't mind second hand clothes at all! Babies outgrow stuff WAY too quickly for me to buy bunches of expensive clothes.

sstwinklinglites #8-I totally feel ya there! I'm so tired of moving, and We've moved so many times for DH job promotions. It would be so much harder with a baby! But Cali sounds awesome! narbuckle01- #2 I hope the transition working gets easier for you!! My 10: 1) DH left this morning for the week for work in Chicago and me and DD are feeling lonely. 2) We did a lot of shopping today and BTW, Nordstrom has a nice "mother's room" to feed/nurse in. 3) Catching up on Pretty Little Liars while DD sleeps. (This show makes me feel like I'm in high school but I love it) 4) DD keeps screaming when I breastfeed because she has gas bubbles. 5) Trying to figure out what to eat for dinner and Panera to-go has won. 6) My cats are looking depressed. 7) DD nails need to be cut but I'm so scared I'm going to cut her skin again:( 8) Realizing how much harder the nights are going to be this week without DH's help. 9) I have a candle addiction 10) I'm so into the new Starburst gum!

QFT. (Quoted for truth)
And don't forget the 8MW, then 1 yr., 2yrs. Basically, prepare to never have a considerable stretch of decent sleep again at least until your child moves out.

The sale doesn't end until the end of the month. Basically all clearance items are marked down to $1.
And I have been reading up on the 4, 8, 12 sleep transitions. Researcher in me again Apparently the transition is due to brain/REM changes that impact the level of deep sleep that LO is getting. At very young ages babes are able to enter deep sleep really easily preventing them from waking and allowing them to get to sleep easily. Around 4 months the time it takes babies to enter deep sleep extends from 20 minutes to about 40 minutes. So when they wake themselves up they get all worked up and can't get back to sleep. So my focus this week is trying to teach LO to put herself to sleep on her own. Instead of nursing her to a dead sleep I have been nursing her to almost asleep and putting her in her crib. She's woken up the past two nights after about 20 minutes and I go back in nurse a little more, put her down kinda drowsy and she does to sleep. Maybe this will work? Probably not but it makes me feel like I am trying.

Yep. We did Ferber here, and his book goes into a lot of detail regarding the changes in sleep, why it happens, etc. I was actually pretty fascinated.
If you all like consignment sales, there's one coming up in March at Lakota West High School. It's $1 to get in and they have everything from newborn to big kids and baby gear and toys. I've been a couple of times.
