Is anyone else dealing with a pounding heart and slight shortness of breath? I have had this come and go for a few weeks. My pulse is normal(80's when this happens) and to me it feels like anxiety. I will probably ask my dr to be safe, but I don't want any treatment if it's anxiety. Has anyone else had this and found anything that helps?
I've had a pounding heart and shortness of breath for weeks. I've chalked it up to my body changing and working harder in preparation for this baby.
I have also had anxiety attacks and this feels purely biological, not psychological. So I guess you have to stop and think about how you feel emotionally too.

I had some of that with the pregnancy I lost. I'm relatively fit so I figured it was hormonal changes. It can't hurt to get your doctors opinion but I can understand why it would feel like anxiety. I get racing heart and sweaty palms if I drink too much caffeine and the anxious feeling that gives me has lead me to a one cup max, pregnant or not.
I get this, too. I also think that it's my body adjusting to the increasing blood volume. I do have anxiety, so I know when I'm feeling panicky as opposed to experiencing random heart palpitations. It wouldn't hurt to mention it to your doctor, but I think if you're pretty confident that it's biological, then I wouldn't worry too much.
I was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder so I deal with this regularly. For me panic attacks/anxiety feel like that along with the emotional feeling of being overwhelmed so it's hard to say if yours is anxiety or just from physical changes to your body.
I'm a little confused on what you mean when you say you don't want treatment? Do you mean prescriptions? Or therapy?
I mostly meant prescriptions, but I have done therapy in the past and didn't really like it. It may be that I didn't have the right therapist, though.
My Dr. said that it's probably just a mix of being pregnant and my allergies being pretty bad. I have occasional pounding heart and sort of frequent shortness of breath.

I had heart palpatations with my last pregnancy and they made me see a cardiologist and wear a monitor for 7 days. In the end they concluded that there was nothing wrong with my heart and likely the result of anemia. I'm already experiencing some palpatations again. In my case they are annoying, but harmless, though you should def bring them up to your doc.
