I also always think of that lifetime movie (Death of a cheerleader/a friend to die for) that has Tori Spelling as the mean girl and she is part of the exclusive club The Larks. She ends up getting killed by Kellie Martin. I think it was a made for tv movie when I was a preteen too.
Married 10/10/10! TTC Baby #1 since April 2014 BFP Oct 16 - EP terminated Nov 6 2014 Off the Bench January 2015! BFP #2 June 1 2015 - EDD Feb 12 2016! Baby Boy born 15th February 2016!
I have a friend who's daughter is named Larken, which is a perfect name for her and works. I don't know if Lark has the same charm though... I don't think it's AWFUL though, but I am in the minority and like unusual names.
We're a queer family with some bad fertility issues. I'm 32, have dimished ovarian reserve, and my partner-love ("healz413") has severe endo. We did Partner IVF (her eggs, my uterus) for our first babies. Our beautiful twin daughters, Tavin & Casey, were born in June '14 too premature at 21 weeks to survive - We miss them.
Our double-rainbow baby "E" - otherwise known as "Rocky 3" was born in August of 2015. She's wonderfu.

Thanks all! I might just keep it as a GP name. I haven't really gotten negative feedback from you guys before (including on the "other board") and I trust your opinion. The top two front runners are currently Talia, Alice, or maybe Anna.
I don't hate it but I also have a different naming style than some of the regulars here. I think as a mn it would be super cute or as a first name with a more feminine middle name.
I asked around IRL to lots of folks (not friends) about our baby #2's name and was surprised that the name I thought everyone would like, was not the one that was well received. So maybe try it out for a few days at Starbucks, etc and see what happens. Also- I found the more I said a name the more it either grew on me or was awkward. Good luck!

I love Alice. Would you consider Natalia, nn Talia? I'm not a huge fan of Talia, but Natalia is gorgeous. Especially with Alice. Am I remembering correctly that you're expecting twins?

Yup, twins! I can't use "Natalia" because we are limited by what first initial we can use. We are following the Jewish tradition of naming the baby after a deceased relative by using the same first initial. It makes the process somewhat hard- there are some names I love, but don't have an appropriate namesake. My father wasn't Jewish, so he was a III, which cut down the pool a lot! I do have reasons for loving Talia on it's own, but I can't even really consider Natalia.
I also love Alice and it was my husbands first choice for daughter number one before we compromised on Zoe. I might like Anna slightly more (and he might too) but I am worried about it almost rhyming with Talia.

So what are the initials we have to work with? I adore Alice. Talia's not my favorite, but I knew a couple who used it because of its meaning after they lost a set of twins to pre-term labor, and it does have a beautiful meaning.

Talia is one of my favorite all-time names, I actually had to kind of search to find a T, so if we don't use Talia I probably won't use T unless we LOVE the name.
Best initials are: S, G, A, R, and B. M is also fine to use. My maiden middle name was Margit after my great-grandmother Margit. Since I don't have that name any more it might be nice to use somewhere, although I hated my middle name as a kid (appreciated it as an adult). We already used Z and P with our first daughter. I can dig for some others if needed.
S is for his dad and G is for my dad, so I might want those for middle names (I'm thinking Talia Sage), but not married to that. I also really dislike most G names (I think Genevieve and Grace are OK), so G will probably be used in the middle name spot, if at all.
