@demanda88 Don't get Gap maternity shirts if you are tall!! Most of their shirts are sooo short! I am short, but as soon as my belly grows at all their maternity shirts are too short. The only ones I've tried that are the exception are the Pure body shirts. They are nice and long, but tight, so I get a size up because I like my shirts a little looser. The pure body maternity shirts are my fav maternity shirts in the world. I have some I wear out and about and a few I save for sleeping because they are so comfy, but don't want to wear out all the pure body shirts by sleeping in them all the time!

When I look for maternity shirts I look for shirts that go down to the crotches of the models wearing them in the pics. That tells me it should be at least long enough to cover my whole belly. Good luck. Maybe Gap has more shirts that are long, I have only tried casual shirts, not professional type shirts. I'm a SAHM and don't get very dressed up

I am also tall and lived in Gap maternity shirts last time around! I only wore the professional ones so no idea about t shirt type shirts. I did have to go up a size at the very end but I gained a crazy amount of weight.
Also tall, it's a struggle. Shirts become too short! Constantly pulling shirts down & pulling my pants up!
I need a belly band but I found myself constantly adjusting it last time?! I want one that is full panel not just lower, do those exist? :s
I have a band from www.bellybuttonband.com/ so far I love mine, you can get a full panel that covers your bump, or onr that sits underneath your bump. I have both don't have a big enough bump to wear the full one yet, but I know that day will come!
I only buy mat. clothes that are on clearance. I can't see spending a ton of money on them when I'm only going to wear them for a few months. Old Navy just had a really good sale in stores, not sure if they still do, but that's where I got most of my tops this time around. (I'm thinner than I was last pregnancy from the beginning, so all my clothes from my first pregnancy are way too big at the moment.)

The Gap pure body shirts are AMAZING. I have about 15 of them - 10 non-maternity, 5 maternity. I agree about their other maternity shirts, though, in terms of not being long enough for taller people (I have a short torso, so they work for me). But I'd say at this point, embrace the maternity clothes for the duration (you can get short sleeved things and layer with cardigans now, so they last until spring), but I agree with looking for them on sale, or through consignment shops.
As a long-torso tall girl, I am right there with you. My button downs are a no-go now, but I'm going to keep going with my sweaters as long as I can. I got a few Target extra long maternity tanks (www.target.com/p/maternity-fashion-tank-top-liz-lange-for-target/-/A-15008910#prodSlot=_1_4), and wear them under everything. I also essentially live in them at all other times.
So maybe I'm not winning any pregnancy style awards, but I never worry about my stomach showing, and haven't shelled out too much for maternity wear.
I live in gap maternity pure body tees. Sooo comfy! They are becoming a little sheer as I grow. I dread the day they no longer fit because I'm at the top size.
Another vent- I hate how expensive maternity clothing is. I work in Finance and luckily am able to wear jeans to work but I still need to look nice. How the hell am I going to not be able to buy an entirely new wardrobe, to get through this pregnancy and also look okay for work?!
Wait till you hit some good sales, then stock up! We have a combined Motherhood/Destination Maternity/Pea in the Pod store near me, and I waited until their clearance went to 40% off a couple weeks ago then loaded up. I was getting shirts for $6.99 and pants/skirts for $11.99 (including dress pants & pencil skirts for work). Those stores are really expensive most of the time but you can definitely get good deals on clearance if you stalk them a little. And many of their shirt styles are really long.
I've been stocking up at Old Navy since they seem to have the best sales on maternity stuff. The t-shirts are my favorite. Also, Macy's has a lot of great sales - a few weeks ago they had buy 3 get 1 free on the ENTIRE maternity department, and a lot of the stuff was already marked down.
I feel your pain! My normal tops are getting tight but I can't wear maternity tops yet. Have you tried maternity consignment shops or goodwill? I've seen a lot of tops available; though, pants not so much. I think pants are harder to find a perfect fit. I also scour the 'net for sales as well. They always pop up every not and then.

There's a coupon somewhere online to get one free from this company. You just pay shipping. It's legit. Just google it.

Has anyone found the perfect maternity jeans yet?
I love my Jessica Simpson jeans from Motherhood. I got them when they were having a bogo sale. They're comfortable and very flattering.
Burlington Coat Factory is a great place to create a maternity wardrobe. They don't have the best quality stuff, but honestly, I would rather pay far less money for a shirt that might pill or whatever because you will only wear it a handful of times anyway. I bought a TON of tops to wear for work from there when I was pregnant with #1. Now I'm mad because I stay at home and have all these work maternity clothes that I never wear. But seriously, even if you are a gap girl or would never buy clothes from Burlington, I highly recommend checking it out. Easiest and cheapest way to expand your maternity wardrobe (aka temporary wardrobe). Plus, even if you have more babies, the seasons might not line up and you won't even get a second chance to wear the clothes. It's totally not worth it to spend crazy $$

A ton of the motherhood stuff in my buy buy baby store is on clearance. The only caveat is that you can't use coupons on that stuff... but I paid $4.99 for long sleeve T's and $9.99 for some work appropriate stretchy and long tops. I personally couldn't attempt any shirt with buttons at this point.

I have a very long torso, so I can definitely feel your pain about shirts being too short. I can still wear my normal shirts, but I always wear a cami underneath. The costco ones are pretty cheap and super long, I imagine they will do me well pretty late into pregnancy.
I second looking for maternity clothes at consignment shops and thrift stores, I have found some really good deals!

Just wanted to say that I started wearing some maternity tops before I needed to (tried them on for fun and they looked good)--depending on what you get, they just look like normal tops, but they have room for when your belly gets bigger. I've gotten some good ones at LOFT Maternity and Pink Blush Maternity.
