My little man started daycare this week. He is 10 weeks old. The daycare providers said he is doing really good for his first week. Only fussy when they move him from floor to bed or bouncer to bed (not allowed to let them sleep any where but a bed). When he gets home he is so tired. He is down for the night at 830 when it used to be 10. I should be happy but I'm missing baby time. Anyone else's kid exhausted from daycare?
Mine just started today but I almost hope it makes him start going to bed earlier. DS usually goes to bed at 10. Last night we managed to get him to sleep at 9:30. I know I'll be sad that it's less baby time, but I feel like I'll be able to get more things done.

The first week Kenna was in daycare she wanted to go to bed as soon as she got home (5:30). I would let her nap an hour and then try to keep her up till 9:30 (if I could). Some days she there wasn't anything I could do to keep her up. But now that she is adjusting (we are on week 4) she stays up just fine now until it is real "bedtime" and I get to play with her, give her a bath and all the fun stuff.

This reminds me of a co-worker whose child fell asleep in his bumbo after his first day of daycare. He was even snoring he was so tired. He did adjust and didn't come home so exhausted fairly quickly.
