WTF old lady body? Why are you always tired and achy?
WTF BFF? Why has this wedding turned you into a moron?
WTF upstairs neighbor? Why the hell do you think cleaning time is after 10PM, and make so much noise that any day now, I promise I will go up there, knock on your door, and punch you in the nose.

Have you tried creamer? I was a 5 cup a day coffee drinker before pregnancy, and obviously cut down as soon as I found out. But then coffee started making me nauseous. I started adding creamer and boom, delicious again.
Chunk, how far along are you? My tastes totally changed the whole pregnancy and now I can't even enjoy my prior favorite wine. It's not the same!!
I am 35 weeks on Friday, I haven't been able to drink coffee since about 4 months. Makes me sad.
I had to give up coffee at 7wks when I was pg. First tri was a bitch without coffee. Hang in there though, you're almost done and soon you'll need to figure out how you can administer coffee intravenously.

I'm a coffee sugar kinda gal. I still like my vanilla latte from City Brew, just not the coffee from my home system. Only 37 days...37 days!

This isnt a WTF- More of a Wednesday random... My BFF is about 20 weeks preggo and one of her co-workers/friends is 39 weeks. I have telling my BFF to pass off what I consider good advice. For example, remember that peeing standing up/hovering is an option, remember hemorrhoid pads are the best thing ever, remember to stock up on huge large diaper/maxi pads, remember to take comfortable clothing to the hospital. Her response to all of this "I don't know anyone who has had a birth like yours, I won't need any of that, and no one pees standing!" I want to say when your stuff has been ripped open by a huge head being yanked out your bladder and urethra doesn't respond nicely! It's just crazy. I want to help them out but it's like they think I am making this stuff up!

They're in for a rude awakening! My advice to YOU is...you've done your part. You gave them some advice. Now if BFF doesn't want to use it, that's on her. She'll likely learn the hard way!

narbuckle01 - Exactly what ladytiffany24 said. You tried to help, they're on their own now. When they start to whine about all the horrors, you can just say, I told you so.

mrscatfarmer13 I don't know why, but it was the only way that I could pee for a long time. I had to be manually cath'ed about 4 times and then I had a cath for about 8 hours during labor. I had a second degree tear so it burned when I sat which I am sure is pretty normal. Anyways hovering (like almost standing) was the only way I could pee. It was like it relieved some internal pressure that would allow the flow to start. I was like that for about a week and a half. It was strange!
Everyone's pp is so different. I had a small tear but honestly couldn't even feel the stitches, barely had bleeding, and little pain. I dribbled pee for like 3 months because they couldn't empty my bladder because Los head was too far down and it was so full it filled up like 2 of those plastic tubs once they drained it after he was out. But I know another girl that had stitches and couldn't sit or move for weeks. I was out walking briskly 1 week post partum.

Interesting, I never thought to stand up. I had a 2nd degree episiotomy (biggest mistake ever) and it burned when I would pee, but I would just tilt my pelvis foward and stick my butt out to keep the stream away from my incision. I had to do this from November- March because I had granulated tissue that my OB ended up cutting off in the office. Sorry for the TMI.

Agree that everyone's experience is super different. I was cathed three or four times while in labor, but they never kept one of those permanent ones in. I had a 2nd degree tear, but also didn't feel the stitches or any discomfort really. I felt some discomfort from the hemies the first few days, and that was it.

That sounds awful! My sympathies!
Thanks, it sucked. My OB said it's not uncommon to have granulation tissue after a tear/episiotomy heals, but it usually falls off on its own so he didn't think it was a big deal when he saw it at my 6wk checkup.
