Wednesday Symptoms: you name it, we got it!

Congestion... SO MUCH NASAL CONGESTION!

LO is kicking up a storm this morning. I felt it from outside and woke up DH so he could to, but apparently he couldn't feel anything, so I'm starting to think that my feeling it is magnified because I feel it inside, too. It's got to be soon. I'm starting to feel bad for getting his hopes up.

Still feeling the morning (make that all day) sickness! And the congestion does not help!

Only symptom is  SUPER dry face. Like, I'm shedding my facial skin like snake. It's peeling everywhere, even though I'm putting on lotion several times a day. I made the mistake of lightly scrubbing with a soft wash cloth, trying to remove some of the dead skin...only to have my face turn bright red and splotchy. I've never had this problem in my life!

I have a random too, if we can put it here. I ordered our video monitor last night! This is my very first official purchase towards the new baby and I'm so excited! I didn't use a video monitor with DS because I really thought they were over the top and not necessary. Then I realized how important it is to know what baby/child is doing without having to open the door. There are so many to choose from, but after asking around and doing my own research, I ended up with the Motorola MBP41. I'm going to put it to use as soon as it arrives, so I will report back if anyone is interested to know how it is.

Acid Reflux is making me its bitch Yesterday, the smell of my coworkers lunch kicked it into overdrive. Really?! The smell of someone else's food? I wasn't even the one eating it, yet I suffered.

TMI warning:



I nearly threw up on my dog. I bent down to pick her up (She's 8 pounds), and all the stomach acid in the world came rushing up into my mouth. I had to quickly put her down and turn away so she didn't end up needing a late night bath.

Dr gave me a prescription, and it sometimes helps take the edge off, but not last night or today.

I feel fine so far today. WOOT WOOT! But my kid has thrown up three times since he woke up so he's home from school. I'm just sitting in the corner rocking and praying that I don't get whatever bug he has. I just can't even.

I feel weird today. A bit light headed, even though I am sitting down. I only ate oatmeal for breakfast so I just ate some greek yogurt to see if that makes me feel less weird.

Little boy gave me a big thump today. He is getting stronger!

Starting to feel LO at random times during the day. For the past week, baby has only been really active when I get home and lie down, but today he/she has been doing flips while I'm teaching.

Otherwise, I'm just trying to make sure I drink enough water. I keep waking up in the middle of the night with killer leg cramps.

Here's a random: yesterday one of our office workers said that she hoped that she was as energetic and happy as I am when she gets pregnant. It took me by surprise because I thought that I was being really whiny.

I've had a tiny appetite in the second trimester so far but today GIVE ME ALL THE FOOD! I finished work early and I stopped in town and got (and don't judge, this is not normal for me at all!) a KFC Zinger tower burger AND 2 (yes TWO) 6" Subway Subs - I just devoured the lot. Baby is squirming now. Feel guilty (but the subs had salad on them at least!) Oops!

Feeling great also today. I am now feeling him all the time instead of just when I sit or eat. He is definitely getting stronger and I don't think he's rested all day!
I may/may not be alot more emotional about everything, so I guess that could be a symptom. It's taking me by surprise though because I have not been very hormonal at all up until now.

I just was incapacitated by what I think (and hope) are gas pains. Like, was in the grocery store parking lot and just kept driving to come home bc I couldn't breathe I was in so much pain. I also got hot and sweaty. am laying down at home and pain has subsided.


But damnit I had things to do while DS is at school. Grrr.

Not judging at all! Whatever a "KFC zinger tower burger" is, I NEED one.
My cravings have been fast food and I find that when I go I get whatever burger /meal I'm gonna eat and then also have to order something extra like off the value menu to eat right then (appetizer?) until I get my food home. Lol
I had not eaten fast food for one year prior to pregnancy. I have now caught up!

I hear you on the appetiser front! That was my exact thought when I left Subway and went literally next door to KFC. (FYI, it's a ginormous fried chicken burger with spicy salsa, cheese and a hash brown - totally delicious!) I had eaten the whole thing by the time I had queued to get out of the carpark!

But I'm so freaking sick of this acne! Go away! My poor skin I should be getting a new face wash in from Sephora today, hopefully it helps. Anyone find pregnancy-friendly skin products that have helped?

Same here... I can't stop eating! I usually just have oatmeal and and english muffin for breakfast, but today on my way to work I stopped at Dunkin Donuts and got a breakfast sandwich and a donut. It was gross but delicious at the same time!!

Heartburn, congestion, Braxton-Hicks if I don't stay hydrated. Apparently now when I cough, I also throw up. Lovely. Happened last night at dinner for the first time and my DH & brother just sat there laughing hysterically. Happened again this AM after breakfast. My stomach doesn't hurt or anything (def not sick)...I just cough my food back up. I swear, pregnancy has made me so classy.

Meeeee too! My face is a train wreck, and nothing seems to be helping. I had like two weeks of glowy skin around week 9-10, and it's been all downhill since then. Using baby wash with my Clarisonic is helping a smidge, but I still have some killer red scarring on my jaw and cheeks. I'm getting so sick of putting on concealer every morning. I ordered some witch hazel wipes and Argan oil, so I'm hoping that simplifying my routine with as many single-ingredient products as possible will help.

Other than being team pizza face, I also feel like a walking booger because I'm so congested, and I'm starting to get some random pains in my pelvis/groin that I'm chalking up as RLP. I need a haircut so badly too...awkward grown out pixie = freaking mullet waiting to happen!! Glad I could get in for a trim at lunch this Friday, but hoping more snow doesn't make it difficult to get there.

Feeling pretty good today, but after going to the grocery store and making cookies with DD, my SPD is acting up. Dh is out of town for the rest of the week, so I'm guessing dinner will be breakfast or something easy.

Add me to the list of those in the snot factory. It's kind of insane and annoying. I remember having more congestion/mucus with my first, but this is just weird. And in between using all the tissues, I'm dry as a dessert and my nose hurts... but it's back to congested mucus an hour later. ugh.

I had my first bloody nose too, yippee.

The hip/butt/leg.back stiffness and cramps are annoying too.

I'm getting random really depressed emotions lately. Luckily they are random. With my 1st I had prenatal depression and the depressing thoughts were 24/7. I'm pretty sure my random depressed emotions are purely situational, not hormonal. A lot of the time I am super excited for this baby and can't wait to meet her. However, the logistics of having 3U3 are starting to get to me. And the fact that I am pregnant instead of being able to get back into shape is bugging me. I know its stupid, but I was so looking forward to getting my body back once DD1 started to sleep through the night and now instead I'm pregnant, falling apart, and going to have another newborn in no time to occupy all the energy. I am trying to remind myself that I can have those other things in the future. Right now its ok to just have babies and not worry about having a dirty house, no money, no energy, and cottage cheese thighs. I just have to be grateful for what I do have. Because I am a lucky gal, even if it doesn't always feel that way.

Sorry, my symptom post turned into a vent, but I really needed to vent!

I'm dealing with sad sad hair...where's the amazing think and shiny hair I was promised?! Bullshit.
Also on the coughing and liking train...if I'm even a little full and have to cough, food is coming back up and there's no stopping it. It's really cute;)

I've been eating like crazy too. I want food every hour! Besides that LO is kicking up a storm, I cant sleep because of peeing and back pain every couple of hours.

I'm visiting acid reflux city. I have been taking a prescription for it for years and I guess it is not good enough today.

I am going back to work tomorrow after being off, foot injury, for 3 months. I don't think I am sleeping tonight.

Oh god, my back/right hip pain is killing me today. (I think it might be sciatica, as it sort of goes down more into my butt?) It was mild on and off for a week or so, and then yesterday I bent over for something in the kitchen and I just knew I aggravated it further. Stairs are the enemy right now. We went out tonight and bought a heating pad (we didn't have one in the house) and I have an appointment with the OB on Monday anyway, so maybe she can recommend something.

On a slightly lighter note, I went to run some necessary errands with my father today. He slipped on ice on Monday and fractured/bruised a couple ribs, so between the two of us hobbling around and trying to get into and out of the car, I'm sure we must have been quite the sight!

I'm on this bus, too. Pretty gnarly pain in the lowest part of my back that almost seems to continue into the tops of my femurs. My legs have also been falling asleep at night and after sitting too long at the office. 

Something tells me this is not one of those symptoms that will get better as the pregnancy progresses.
