Absolutely! We will have our harmony results in two weeks to either confirm or deny.
Just curious what your dr is basing this guess on?
Our ultrasound today. He did say body parts can be swollen and some technical term I didn't know could exist so he's not 100% and told us to wait for the harmony results before getting really excited.

Ah. Well, he has a 50% chance of being right, there is literally no visible difference at this point.

We shall see! We told him we would call him and let him know if he's right or wrong.

Depending on who you ask, we are mid 11th week (or end of 10th). Hoping OB can decide when we see her Wednesday! Baby measures 11w3d.
westiemom, tincupchalice Fetal embryology is something I absolutely love and have taken classes for school! From Blackburn's Maternal, Fetal & Neonatal Physiology: "The early development of the external genitalia is similar in male and female embryos. Distinguishing characteristics can be seen during the 9th week of gestation, with definitive characteristics being fully formed by the 12th week."
Using 3D ultrasound technology, an OB COULD potentially see boy vs. girl this early, but the differences are still subtle. However the scrotum is easier to visualize, and only present in males.
