When I asked my pedi about this she said to try stopping the morning dose first and see how it goes. At that point (1.5 months ago) it didn't go well so we went back to twice a day. I'm trying it again this week tho and DD is doing much better so I have also decreased the nighttime dose by 1/3. So far so good. DD is almost 6 months.

We missed a dose at about 4-1/2 months and it didn't go well at all. I was pleasantly surprised when we realized he missed it the other day that he had done so well. I'm hoping he's grown out of it!
Good luck! That sour face is the WORST. I will say, actual spitting up has only improved a little, even at 6 months. I hope that gets better soon.

Same here. He still spits up a lot but it seems he's now a "happy spitter" instead of a pained spitter. I do look forward to the spit up going away at some point though. We go through clothes, bibs, and carpet cleaner like crazy!
Now that's one thing they never mention - cleaning baby spit up out of carpets. And the couch. Good thing the covers on my couch are washable. Otherwise I don't think we could have company until we replace them.

I've wondered about trying to cut her back, but we had to keep adjusting her dosage that she didn't really get relief until she was almost 5 months so it makes me nervous. I think I'll keep her on it for awhile, yet.
