Glucose Test Question

I had the 1 hour glucose test at the end of the week. I just saw my lab report and I got a 141. It says the cutoff is 140. Does this mean I am definitely getting the 3 hour test now? Anyone have this type experience? I really hope I don't have GD! I had pre-e with JA and was hoping this time would be an easy ride.

I would assume they would either repeat the 1 hour or do the 3 hour. I don't have any GD experience but on the September BMB I remember some of the girls who were close to the cut off having to do the 3 hour even if they were within a couple points of passing.

Thus sounds exactly like with me when I was pregnant with eliza. I failed the 1 hour by 3 points but passed the 3 hour. The 3 hour sucks so you'd think they'd figure something out for those that close to the cut off.

That was me both pregnancies. I technically passed the three hour test both times though.

I failed by one point and had to do the three hour. Fingers crossed your doc is more lenient than mine!

My dr did tell me though that most people that only fail the one house by a point or two pass the three hour. I passed it, too.

Also have heard they go to the 3 hour because they are more accurate with such close numbers. Most pass the 3 hour after being so close. You don't want to take the 1 hour and fail again and still have to do the 3.

You'll do great, regardless of outcome. .. but with a number so close, I'm sure you'll be good.
