GTT and Gestational Diabetes questions

I just found out I didn't pass my 1 hour either. I have heard from a bunch of my friends who failed the 1 hour and passed the three hour. I have no idea what my number is or what the threshold was. I wouldn't worry too terribly much as your number isn't that far off from what they want. You'll probably pass the 3 hour test

I haven't had that kind of weight gain but I failed my 3hr --- so perhaps the weight gain and failing the 1hr glucose challenge are indicating two separate issues (or one issue and one non-issue, if you pass the 3hr)?

I don't really have any advice, just want to say, don't beat yourself up. I know you are working out and trying to eat healthy. Sometimes our bodies are just not cooperative. Just because you don't fit into a perfect weight gain range at the moment doesn't necessarily mean that you'll gain too much overall. It could slow down. Or, maybe you will gain a little more than your doc recommends and that's not the end of the world, either. It could just be what's right for your body. I'm all about being healthy and not making excuses but it sounds like you are doing everything right. So try to focus on the good things you are doing. Hugs.

Dont beat yourself up. Sounds like you are doing everything you can to be healthy. I only gained 20lbs total with DD and I had GD. If you are concerned, you can ask your OB for a referral for a nutritionist. The one I had was fantastic.

Good luck with your gtt. I didn't pass mine but my hour was 171. Don't beat yourself up too much about weight gain, did your dr mention seeing a nutritionist?
