I just saw that. All I can think is WTF. At least he will be home schooled and never have a real job. Otherwise I would see that name giving him a life time of headaches.
I wonder what their next terrible S name will be. Spartacus? Sampson? Sprinkles?
Bahaha - I saw the commercial with it and no shit hit rewind so I could hear her say it again because I wasn't sure I heard it right the first time. Yup, I heard it right...

Yeah, its a horrible name. And I can't even think of a cute short name for it. Spurgy? Gross. At least they did say they won't stick with the same letter for all their kids.
Ok, so I just read that his actual nickname is going to be Quincy. That is what they called him the entire pregnancy. So if he is going to be called Quincy, why not just name him that?!?!

Well if you watch the video they say that at the beginning too, that they called him quincy. ... so like you I thought, then just call him that. Or Elliott Sturgeon would have been LOADS better!
Yeah, I saw that too trixi282,. Not sure how much I believe it though. Especially since she apparently met up with him again after she alleges he assaulted her. Why would anyone do that?

I think I remember Daily Mail reported an article about her shortly after his Ashley Madison thing blew up. I just think if it was serious enough to sue him now, why didn't she call the police when it happened?
All very valid points summergirl1211 & aimeefarrahfowler... I completely agree. Why would you not call authorities after the incident - or if you didn't call the first time, why would you meet a second time? Ok so he appologized, but then he did it again... and you didn't call authorities that time either?! Ummmm... seriously questioning your thought process chicky.

Well, he was paying her for these encounters, so that was probably a big part of it... Such a skeazebag.

aimeefarrahfowler, I was going to say the same thing. And it goes back to victim shaming--are we placing blame on her because she waiting too long (plenty of women stay in abusive relationships or go back to them for various reasons), was a sex worker, and obviously did some shady shit.
I am also questioning, though, because of the timing, the fact that she did do it more than once, etc. I think it's definitely shady, but also complicated.

origamimommy I was worried of coming across that way, but I am not trying to victim shame. I just think it is ?interesting? that she is dealing with this by filing a $500,000 civil suit instead of going to the police and pressing criminal charges...

aimeefarrahfowler, I think my post came across wrong, because I agree with you and summergirl, but I also am just noting that culturally relevant, does that make sense? I think it's definitely just for money, but that it can get complicated once it (IF it) goes to court.

Yes, I watched most of it. I was a bit shocked by how much they all seem to be distancing themselves from Josh. I figured it would be the same old forgiveness song and dance, but it wasn't. And I thought it would be just the girls, but seems like most of the siblings are popping up too.
Preview for next week shows Anna talking about everything, which I'm really interested to see!
I saw a good bit of it, but not all. I missed the very begining and parts in the middle because of a certain 3yo calling for me - then H coming home and talking over it... ugh distractions.

I haven't seen it, but regarding the bolded. I wonder if TLC kind of "coached" them all to distance themselves if they want the show to make it. Maybe I'm jaded but it's a win/win for the network and the Duggars if this show can continue. KWIM?
My take on it is it is basically the old show but they just gave it a new name. I didn't watch the show, so maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like all the advertising of it seems like everyone still gets their say on it. It just focuses more on Jill and Jessa. However, the last season was mostly focused on them already.
