Lets talk IC/TTC **LOSS MENTIONED** Advised to post here

I had a loss at the beginning of the month and I am not actively ready to start the TTC process again but eventually we will be. I am such a planner and as I've learned its not really in my hands. I feel like Ive come a long way since January 6th and I am ready to start the research process and get in the mind frame that I need to be in to fight this IC demon. Ive never really heard of IC...I know what it is but my concern is the cerclage, and the success rates, being overweight and IC...I just have so much on my mind because of my stupid IC issue. Does anyone have experience with this? I want to know the good (stories if any), the bag and the ugly...I think its giving me doubt and taking away the courage I need to start the ttc process again. I know I will more than likely have to go back to the RE and its very expensive and time consuming. I will do anything to have a baby but not feeling encouraged enough to do so sucks. Thanks.

I'm sorry for your loss ((hugs)) I don't have any experience with IC but have you checked out CAL on here? I know some of the girls over there have had experience with it. That's also an amazing group of ladies in a similar space as you. Best of luck to you in your journey ((hugs))

PS. I don't want to sound like there aren't ladies here with experience or advice I just wanted to provide you with another option also.

Largely, CAL sent her here specifically for success stories, and actively pregnant with cerclage stories.

I lost our twins last summer due to IC as well, and it is terrifying.

My partner and I are both women, so for me -- I actually refused to try to be pregnant again right now until I feel better about my cervix fears (and have explored TAC and other cerclage options), and she is now pregnant with our rainbow baby, but it doesn't change to fear for me.

Honestly, for me -- I'm still on the fence about whether to try again at all with my body.   I do want to explore and consult with OBs about Trans-Abdominal cerclage procedures, ideally pre-pregnancy (we have to do IVF for our babies), but I don't feel like I want to move forward until I have a plan with an OB I trust to take it seriously and be proactive about it.  I don't have a success story, but wish you well.
