Freaking myself out, just need to vent

So when I went into my last OB appt, I brought in my vitamins to have my doctor clear. He took a look and said everything looked good. Well, last night I was reading up on a few things, and I came across something that said Borage oil is not safe during pregnancy. I looked at my Omega 3/6/9 pill and, of course, it's in there. I haven't found a ton of info other than that it can cause "birth defects." It can also cause premature labor, etc. but I am not concerned about that at this point in the pregnancy. I am just so mad at myself for not researching that prior to taking them, and at my OB for having no idea. I'm not really sure what to do now, I am going to call into the office and talk to the nurse, but I'm not thinking there's much they can do at this point. Like I need one more reason to worry, and have the blame all on me for being a terrible mom from the get-go. I just needed to get this off my chest, a big cookie for you if you made it this far!

Just to add: I'm sure the pill is a combination of other items besides that one particular item. So the effects are less than if you had a straight dose.

As the post above, I agree if you're worried call your doctor for guidance.

The fact you looked now and are this worried proves you are not a terrible mom at all! If you're worried and with those side effects I'd probably switch to something else but try not to worry

Thanks, ladies. I did call and the nurse had to look it up with my doctor. They couldn't find much info on it (neither could I). WebMD even had it as unsafe, it seemed like there should be more information on it somewhere on the internets! Probably overreacted, but it's scary to read that something you've taken for 12 weeks could cause harm. I'm off the ledge now.
