First of all, I in no way think these are accurate, they are just for fun and with DD I did them all and it was 50/50 boy/girl.
I'm collecting all of the OWT and other methods of sex predictions and creating a chart to go in the baby's book.
So far we have done the Chinese calendar one and the ring spinning over belly.
Now, has anyone done the Ramzi method? At 8weeks 6 days the yolk sac was on the right side of the picture, it was an abdominal US. So that would mean the yolk sac is on the left side and this means girl? Tell me if I'm getting this right.
Also if there's not already a sex predictions thread should we have one?
So, Ramzi isn't quite like all of the other "just for fun" gender prediction methods based on old wives tales (ring spinning, baking soda, what you're craving, how you're showing, etc.). It's based on a self-published study and article by a doctor named "Ramzi" who claimed to have a 97% accurate method of predicting sex at 6 weeks based on placental location.
There were lots of problems with Ramzi's study, and in fact, other studies, published in peer-reviewed scientific journals have debunked Ramzi's so-called method of predicting sex based on placental location.
But an even bigger hurdle is that it's hard to know placental location without asking the tech at the scan. And there are a number of conditions for the "method" (e.g., the use of tracking color dye) that can't be replicated just by looking at a scan.
So, even if you do all of the other predictions, Ramzi "for fun" would just be really hard.
We're Team Green this time, and I'm having fun with the Old Wives' Tales:) Not Ramzi, but mainly bcse I don't understand well enough how to actually use that method and it's not really an OWT. FWIW, for us it's predicting a girl as of right now (I say that bcse I'm sure tastes in food, etc may change over the course of the pregnancy), but I'm not sold since DH's family has ALL boys, all of the time lol:)

The only "predictor" I have done is my dreams. I have had dreams about my closest family/friends having a certain sex baby, and BAM, I'm currently have a 100% prediction rate. Also, I had a dream my first LO was a girl when I was about 12 weeks along, but we named her Saraphina. Yup, correct about the sex (not the name). Now with this pregnancy I've had not one but TWO dreams about this little one's sex, and they both were of a BOY, so we'll see. Has anyone else (who doesn't know already) dreamed of the baby's sex yet??

I've had two or three dreams that this is a boy with dark hair (all my kids have blond hair and blue eyes). Everyone is telling me it's a girl though, so we'll see!
No dreams here but I just knew we were having a girl the first time. I knew it right away too. I picked out 2 girl names and H immediately agreed with one. We could not for the life of us come up with boys names. Good thing we ended up with a girl.

With my first I kept dreaming I was having boys....as in plural....twins or triplet boys. Even after we knew the sex, I was still dreaming about multiple boys. Had one happy healthy little girl. lol.
This time I think the baby is actually going to be a boy. I guess we'll find out in about 7 more weeks.

My "mom-tuition" is saying girl. But, If you compared my symptoms and cravings so far to my last pregnancy, it would be another boy. I guess only time (and the a/s) will tell
Also, no baby dreams but I had an awesome dream last night that DH surprised me with a beautiful, enormous new house. With swimming pools, beautiful furnishings, huge hot tub (which I couldn't use in my dream since my dream-self was indeed pregnant), the whole nine. I didn't want to wake up!
I've been told that I am absolutely having a boy by several coworkers, however my mom swears up and down that it's a girl. It's annoying actually, and I won't know for sure until I remember to do the ring on a chain trick. Perhaps tonight will be the night?
(I'm obviously kidding, but being Team Green automatically makes everyone an expert in sex-guessing of your baby). I was also told I was carrying low, so it's a girl. My response was that the baby was actually still behind my pubic bone, so that would be really weird if I was carrying high.

Yup! I've had one dream where it was definitely a boy, and one dream where it was definitely a girl. However, as a girl it was also a cat. So, unclear whether I should expect male, female, human or feline.
SIL's friend did the needle trick to me (similar to the ring test, but supposedly for number and sex of all children, not just current pregnancy) a few years ago, and it said girl, boy, boy. At least part of that's wrong because we are done after this and it isn't twins!
