AW: Told my 3.5 year old toddler the big news!

This is her GENUINE reaction.  We showed her the picture, asked her if she knew what it was (of course she didn't) and then had the camera at the ready when I dropped the "Mommy has another baby in her tummy, and you're gonna be a big sister!" news.  Cue these instant frame worthy photos.  I love this little one's personality so much I can't handle it.  She's just the BEST.

Aww, thank you all! She had to have known something was up because she started doing the "I have a baby in my belly, and I can't eat that because the BABY doesn't like it, remember??" game, and mentioned once I had a baby in my belly in passing, but it was a complete and utter surprise when I actually dropped the bomb. It was great. And yes, I cried too when I told her. There aren't that many "magical" moments that you get on film, and this was one of them.

+1 My 5yo was one of the first to know. I was worried about his jumping on me (100% boy) and being too rough. It wasn't unusual for him to fly across a room and launch himself through the air and smack down on top of me lol. The first time he hopped on my lap and I winced, DH looked at me and said "Tell him."

By the way, this is ADORABLE. What a great moment! Now, I wish I had filmed mine's reaction...

We told DD tonight too (also 3.5). After asking if she could hold the baby, she suggested that we carry it in a bag. Um no.

We taped telling our 4.5 yr old dd. It was priceless. She was all excited. She asked all kinds of things like if it was boy (before we even knew). Then she started making plans like building a bed for the baby. Finally she stopped got all serious looked at DH and me and said, "wait are you excited?"

Awe, so cute! We have not told my 3.5 year old yet. she has been talking about babies and I asked her if she wanted a baby and she said "only if it is real"... I can't wait to tell her and now I will make sure I have a camera ready!

Those pics are too freakin cute!

We told our boys on NYE. We let then go in our hot tub in out master bath with sparkling cider in champagne flutes. We counted down til midnight, they said "happy new year" and we said "you're going to be big brothers!" lol

They both had the same face as your daughter's. Then my oldest goes "I knew it!". Haha it was cute.

Those pics will always have a special place. So happy you got to capture that moment.
