Was anyone else worried about this?

Since I got my positive so early, I still haven't passed the day that my period was supposed to arrive. That day is tomorrow. I keep thinking to myself "what if I start bleeding?" Which I know is silly since I've gotten multiple positive tests, but I can't stop worrying about it. I guess after so many years of looking for my period, it seems so crazy to me that this time it won't come. It's so hard trying to not let my anxiety get the best of me. Does/did anyone else feel this way those first few days?

I will be 7 weeks tomorrow and I am still waiting for the other shoe to drop.

These are absolutely normal feelings.

I did too! But, I am now on the last day of my usual period and I am still prego!

mcktymck, I think your fears are totally valid. My early pregnancy symptoms felt a lot like period symptoms (cramps) so I was just sitting there waiting to start bleeding. I guess there's really nothing you can do though...just try to relax and enjoy your secret with your husband for now. :-)

I am definitely with you, and I'm 6w3d (AF should have arrived two weeks ago). The PGAL mantras mentioned above have been a huge help for me too!

The only thing that makes me believe this is real right now is all the nausea. So I guess I should be thankful for that.

@ mcktymck I just passed that day today. 5 tests all positive and still I sometimes think "what if all these cramps are a bad sign?"

I will echo PP and say that that first mantra from the link madamewaffles posted really keeps me grounded. I understand what you mean though - it's still difficult to shift your brain from TTC mode to I'm really Pregnant mode

I've passed the day of my expected period, but still nervous I'll start bleeding any second. I hold my breath everytime I go to the bathroom.

My last pregnancy I was going to the bathroom all of the time worried that I was starting to bleed. I had had losses before and I didn't get morning sickness, so aside from light cramping and sore boobs, I felt normal. I was at an RE, so I had an US at 6w and 8w, but between betas and US I was peeing on a lot of sticks and analyzing to see if they were getting darker.

This time is a little different because I have no idea when I ovulated, but my positive was at CD35. But despite having a successful pregnancy, I still feel some of the same PGAL and PAIF thoughts. And I am still peeing on Walmart cheapies looking for them to get darker.

It is so anxiety provoking, especially if you have a history of IF.
I am also 4w1d (would have gotten my period yesterday), and feel like it's ridiculous that I am even calling myself pregnant.
BUT, I did have an HCG today, and it is real. For now at least.

I worried about this last pregnancy until the NT scan around 13 weeks.
I'm worried about it now.

I agree with capegirl, I think it is normal to worry - but it can be especially magnified if you have a history of loss or IF.

It is comforting to hear from all of you that you are having the same feelings, and that it is somewhat normal. Since Monday (the day I found out), I've had mild cramping most of the time, and even after seeing all of you say you were experiencing the same in the Symptoms thread (AND Googling it), I still have moments of "What if?" Thank you ladies!

madamewaffles Thank you so much for posting that link, the first one and the one about hope not jinxing the pregnancy are things I will keep telling myself over the next few weeks!

I'm just over 6w, and I haven't stopped taking pregnancy tests... PGAL brain is hard to shake... but also what you're feeling is normal... it's a huge change, and while it's so exciting... it's also so nerve-wracking. I'm wishing you a H&H 9 months ahead!
