It so depends on his mood. If he's feeling good, he'll tolerate it for 5-10 minutes, and he'll push himself up and look from side to side. If he's gassy or fussy or just not feeling it, he picks his head up and slams it down again (yikes) and whines until I pick him up or move him.
He rolled over the first time we did it. And has only not rolled over like two times. Those times he fell asleep. So we are a tummy time fail over here. It would be one thing if his rolling over was coming from his core, but it's just coming from the momentum of his big head...
They don't mind it for 5-10 min at a time but I haven't been great at offering. It's not that I forget, I'm just always either tied to the pump or dealing with the other twin or we're out of the house or something. Or they just ate; doing it right after eating is a recipe for disaster. I'd say we get to it maybe once a day. #twinlife
I have had the intention of doing it multiple times a day. In reality we are only doing it on the floor a couple times a week. Just like others we do get it multiple times a day on my chest. My pediatrician said not to do it until he was two months on the floor but I chose not to listen. He said they can smother themselves but it is not like I would put him on his tummy and walk away.

We've been doing it 2-3 times a day, but usually not for very long each time. It definitely goes best when he's on my chest, but he likes to fall asleep when it's that way. And when we do it on the floor, he ends up spitting up most of the time. But his neck seems pretty strong, so I'm not overly worried about it.

We do tummy time 1-2 times a day. My pedi recommended starting out doing it right after a diaper change on the changing pad. It's worked really well so far. She tolerates it for about 5 minutes. She gets more tummy time on my chest too throughout the day.
I intend to every day, but in reality it's a few times a week. LO was holding his head up pretty well from the get go, so I'm not terribly concerned, but I find that if he will tolerate a few minutes, it actually helps reduce gas-related fussiness.
This was a great reminder! L was fussy this afternoon and I rolled him over and he got some man sized farts out and felt much better!
