It occurred to me at the doctor that I've only had like 20oz of water this week. I can't seem to drink it. My gag reflexs kick in at the thought! What're your tricks for drinking water?

Where I work they have an ice cooler and filtered water so I drink it super cold. That helps some. If water makes you gag try adding a flavor packet or lemon or honey. Flavored water isn't as good as regular but its better than nothing.
5 servings of fruits/veggies count as one "serving" of water too. Juices, milk, decaf coffee and tea all count towards your fluid intake. If you really can't stomach water or flavoured water just try to make sure you stay hydrated with something else

I udually love water but for the past few days it has not tasted as great and I have been craving other things. I have a attachment for a water bottle so that I can add fruit to flavor my water and I am going to try that. As other PPs have mentioned it is really about the amount of fluids you are drinking.

For some reason I can stand water more when I drink from a straw (weird) so I've been carrying around water bottles. I've also added some flavoring abd that had helped. Gaterade has also helped.

I was actually going to say all this, haha. Straw, flavors, and sports drinks...
Hot tea, juice, and mixing a little bit of Gatorade with my water helped me keep my fluid intake up during 1st trimester.
Also, if you're into this kind of thing, a lot of the ladies on my BMB have downloaded an app called Plant Nanny to track their water intake and help motivate them to drink more. I haven't tried it myself, since my phone is too full of cute baby pictures to download any more apps.
Thanks for sharing this app!! I just downloaded it - super cute

I had this problem with my last pregnancy. I kept lemon slices around and had to have ice...and preferably a straw. I also did a lot of 25-50% lemonade. I usually never drink sugary drinks but it was so hard not to get sick off of water.
I have a soda stream and just adding carbonation helps me so much. I will crave water, but sometimes drinking it makes me feel nauseous. The carbonation fixes this. And sparking water with fresh lemon - I drink so much more with that combo.

I'm barely managing any liquids at all, it just makes me gag to think about. I can sometimes get peppermint tea down and I've been eating a TON of cucumber and watermelon. Somehow eating water is easier than drinking anything. I've tried a bunch of options but haven't found any other liquids that work, it's really frustrating!

I am the opposite and am chugging, but never feel like the thirst goes away.
Try seltzer. On my days that I am tired of water, I will drink a couple of these. Our local grocery store carries a store brand kind that is flavored, but doesn't have any added sugars or fake sugars. The selection is limited (I think that there are 3-4 different flavors), but they come in a can and we keep a constantly supply in our fridge because my husband is horrible at drinking water, so he drinks a lot of seltzer.
You can get water through fruits and veggies too....any type of melon, cucumber, etc.

Have you tried any of the Pedialyte popsicles? Maybe frozen would help?

ginabini,I am intrigued at the suggestions for frozen. I was okay with apple juice for a few days so wondering if frozen apple juice might work. I actually picked up some sorbet, figured the sugar was worth it, I know I'm not getting enough liquids, but juice would be better. Could halve it with water. Plan for tomorrow!

Good luck!! If that seems to work I would definitely give the Pedialyte popsicles a try too! They were always my go to when I had an upset stomach. They have extra electrolytes and stuff like Gatorade, but not as much sugar!
Thank you for all the wonderful tips. I will try some of them today! I used to drink only water and Powerade ,but DH has gotten me addicted to the burn in your throat that comes from drinking Coke to fast (gross I know) lately all I want is Coke and I think I've become addicted in a way and it's doing more harm than good.
