2. Any thing new/fun? Not really, just trying to stay awake most days.
3. Symptom check. I am so freaking tired. This weekend I napped both days. I really commend the STMs that have toddlers around because I don't know if I'd have the patience or energy. Oh, and my boobs are super painful. DH tried to honk one to be funny and I almost punched him in the face.
4. Rants/Raves? It's Monday. Sigh.
5. GTKY: With American Thanksgiving right around the corner do you have anything planned for the holiday (Canadian friends what did you do for your Thanksgiving)? What food are you looking foward to the most? Any good recipes to share?
This is my year to spend with DHs family for thanksgiving. I'm really excited that I'm not hosting this year. I'm excited for Black Friday shopping too!
STM over here. I have yet to take a nap. I haven't had a nap, since DD was an infant. Currently, I am still running full steam ahead, from 5am until 11pm. Ugh...
3. Symptom check. just cramping. Daily naps. sore boobs.
4. Rants/Raves? Just DH and I trying to be very optimistic.

Going over to in laws. Also we get to pick up a paleo book from them! I love turkey and stuffing but I will have to be very careful not to stuff myself.....Bringing Pumpkin pie and Pecan pie
2. Any thing new/fun? A few minutes ago I was telling DH about this animal shelter that burned down overnight, and they lost almost all of their animals in it, and started crying. DH was so confused and goes "well, you're definitely pregnant!"
3. Symptom check. I've had waves of nausea. If I don't eat for a little while I feel sick, and then if I eat too much I feel sick. Fun times. Other than that my boobs are so sore, I'm still cramping, and I'm tired.
4. Rants/Raves? I've been spotting on and off since Thursday, which is really frustrating. I know it's perfectly normal to have some, I would just feel better if it would knock it off.

We are going over to my mom's for dinner, and am really looking forward to it. This will be the first time I've been here for Thanksgiving with my family since 2006, so I'm excited! I can't wait to pig out on my grandma's amazing stuffing, turkey, cranberry sauce, all of it.
4. Rants/Raves? I wish that my husband would realize that just because he wants to stay up late, doesn't mean the rest of the household does. I get up before him, which means that he is making noise and keeping me awake while I am trying to sleep, and then he gets to stay in bed and sleep, when I have to get up in the morning. I am getting like 5-6 hours of sleep a night, on a good night.
H used to do this and it would make me so mad because I love my sleep. So, I told DS to wake him up in the middle of the night with anything that he needed. H eventually started going to bed earlier in anticipation of DS waking him up and at this point the habit has just stuck with H. DS no loner wakes up at night, H goes to bed earlier, and I am happy and well rested.

Well apparently DD woke up in the middle of the night with a nightmare, and I heard nothing and had no idea that MH got up and not only comforted her, but he fell asleep in her bed while doing so. I am probably just so tired, that I am sleeping like a rock once I get to sleep. I am hoping that he sees that things wont be changing for awhile, so he is going to have to start going to bed earlier.

1. How far along are you? 7 weeks 2. Any thing new/fun? Just had a second ultrasound, and lil Muggy has grown! We are now measure 3 days ahead (after being 3 days behind on Wednesday). Weird.
3. Symptom check. I am so tired and my boobs hurt so much. Nausea is currently taking a vacation. Maybe it will stay away through Thanksgiving?
4. Rants/Raves? We told some very close friends last night (a couple), and as soon as I was alone with the girl she said, "and I still don't have a ring!"
5. GTKY: With American Thanksgiving right around the corner do you have anything planned for the holiday (Canadian friends what did you do for your Thanksgiving)? What food are you looking foward to the most? Any good recipes to share? We are skipping out on the family celebrations and going to Destin. I'm not sure if we'll eat any traditional food, but we've never spent a holiday alone, and I'm looking forward to it.

Yep same here. Nap time is my one time to sit down (I'm a SAHM), but my son has been a pain and been fighting his nap and just acting out so much lately (terrible 2's yay!). But I figure can't do much about it - should have enjoyed nap time while I could during my last pregnancy! And it's going to be much harder when #2 comes around so I really should just appreciate having 1 kid while I can.
2. Any thing new/fun? I have my first appt/US this week!
3. Symptom check. The all day nausea and tiredness, not fun.
4. Rants/Raves? It's only been about a week and a half of the nausea and I'm so miserable! I wish I didn't get morning sickness so bad. / Yay for a 3 day work week.
5. GTKY: With American Thanksgiving right around the corner do you have anything planned for the holiday (Canadian friends what did you do for your Thanksgiving)? What food are you looking foward to the most? Any good recipes to share? Going to my parents for Thanksgiving. Can't wait for all the potatoes, yum.

You go girl!
Its not a good thing......I WANNA TAKE NAPS TOOOOOOOOOOOOO! ::sheds a tear:: But then again, I am only 5 weeks, so I don't think that the fatigue has hit me yet. A week or so from now, I may be sleeping sitting upright at work, with sunglasses on so nobody knows!

Obviously if that is all she can think about, there is probably a reason that she STILL doesn't have a ring. LOL!
I'm a holiday junkie. I'm pretty excited about the upcoming festivities.
3. Symptom check.
Super smell and headaches!
4. Rants/Raves?
My DH is amazing. He helped me clean the house on Sunday and cooked dinner for me tonight. I'm sure there will be times I rant about him, so I will rave first.
I gave my AP students their final exam today. They didn't do so hot. It frustrates me because I know that many of them have not been studying all trimester, but then I worry that maybe I'm the problem. It's giving me super stress.

I'm hosting this year. I love hosting, but have to admit that I wish that I had taken a pass this year. I feel like I've got a lot on my plate right now.

1. 7 weeks 5 days 2. Ultrasound today showed both babies have a matching heart beat at 164. 3. Nausea seems to be lessening or I'm getting better about snacking so that it calms my stomach. 4. I graduated from my RE and have a regular OB appointment on Dec. 17. They'll do the MaterniT21 testing then too so I could know by Christmas our babies' sexes. Also MIL ordered us a second matching crib so I'm so excited. And I found a double sit and stand on Craigslist for like 1/4 of the original price. DS insisted on testing it out as soon as we got it home. GTKY: I'm so excited for all the food! We do Thanksgiving with my ILs and that side all comes from Ohio because all my family is local so I see them whenever. But I'll probably sleep most of the day because I work the night before and the night of Thanksgiving. Eta: I love pumpkin roll and usually make a few and freeze them for Thanksgiving and Christmas but I haven't had time this year yet. Maybe the weekend after Thanksgiving.

mcktymck I have broke down in tears several times over pictures or videos of the Syrian refugees being shared on Facebook. Like ugly crying like there is no tomorrow, especially a post that had pics and stories of where the children sleep.
1. How far along are you? Not entirely sure. I'm going with about 5 weeks and EDD of July 26th. I usually have long cycles because I O later
2. Any thing new/fun? My best friend had her 2nd last week. Her MIL said she has a feeling I'll have one nine months from that day (I had no idea I was pregnant at the time - she was right!)
3. Symptom check. Nothing at all. It was the same with DS, and then around 7 weeks the nausea hit. I puked one a day until 20 weeks
4. Rants/Raves? I'm exhausted. I don't know if it's pregnancy related. I had parent conferences all damn day and night yesterday so I think that's it. Also - I am starting to wean DS. We are going to start with his bedtime nursing session. DH says he's on board, so FX he stays strong if DS meltsdown
5. GTKY: With American Thanksgiving right around the corner do you have anything planned for the holiday (Canadian friends what did you do for your Thanksgiving)? What food are you looking foward to the most? Any good recipes to share? We are going to the ILs for dinner and I'm dreading it. They are so strange with the spread they have. No kielbasa???! I'll miss that. They usually have ham, small turkey, green bean casserole and potatoes.
melody330 your ILs Thanksgiving sounds pretty normal to me. I've never heard of kielbasa for Thanksgiving. Sounds interesting.
It's a Polish thing I guess. Apparently their spread is very normal and my family is the outlier!
I totally get it though. I remember my first Thanksgiving at my ILs and one of my favorite dishes was missing. I was so bummed, but then I just offered to make it next year as my contribution because everyone brings a side dish or dessert.

My first Christmas with my IL was so different from my Christmases with my family that I cried. I knew going into it that they wouldn't normally serve coconut cream pie, so I decided to make one (my family always has this for dessert on Christmas). DH was telling me that no one would eat it and that everyone would just eat pumpkin (he can be a jerk), and I said that was fine because then there will be more for me. Well, he was the only one who ate pumpkin. His whole family adopted my tradition.
melody330 , we have kielbasa at our Thanksgiving too! We have all the regular stuff but my grandfather (who is Polish) brings kielbasa and cuts it up to have as an app!
2. Any thing new/fun? Ultrasound today. I was measuring about a week earlier than LMP, but I expected that since I didn't get a positive test until I was a week late. We saw a little heartbeat, but will repeat next week since it was low and early.
3. Symptom check. crazy sore boobs, still some cramping
4. Rants/Raves? still anxious over DS health. Been running him around for tests/doctors,but he's acting like a typical toddler
5. GTKY: With American Thanksgiving right around the corner do you have anything planned for the holiday (Canadian friends what did you do for your Thanksgiving)? What food are you looking foward to the most? Any good recipes to share? We are going to a friends house since we don't have family near us. I am looking forward to all of the sides....

I may do this with green bean casserole since it's my year at the IL's. I'll just bring that as my contribution. It isn't real Thanksgiving without a green bean casserole! (In my opinion, that is. :-) )

I loooove green bean casserole. Have you tried Alton Brown's recipe? SO GOOD! I do the same thing at Christmas when I get assigned potatoes for my ILs. They don't ever serve MASHED POTATOES, so that is my contribution. It's always been this awful cheesy hash brown casserole with whole corn flakes on top and HUGE pieces of raw onion. I feel like I'm eating all breakfast items in one dish. Blech. This year I have to bring a salad so I'm trying to figure out how to sell mashed potatoes as a salad.

Just bring both and say something like "I made these because I had a bunch of potatoes in the pantry so I didn't want them to go to waste"
