I have lots of stuff to do today like laundry, Christmas decorating, outside lights, grocery store, etc. I'm thinking I'll do the chores first then do Christmas fun stuff last.
I have to go to Home Depot anyway, so I'm going to get some decorations. We are kind of lazy about decorating for holidays, but I do love Christmas so I'm going to bug DH about finding a time to get a tree soon.

We slept late this morning (well, until 8:30), then ate breakfast at the pharmacy fountain down the street, then went to Home Depot too vivela! We bought a new faucet for our kitchen that my dad is going to install on Monday, and a bunch of little things for home projects. Now we are watching the end of the UVA-Tech game and I am going through old pics of my phone. I have a tendency to screen shot stuff I see online with the intention of looking it up later... And then I forget about all my notes haha. We are going to decorate the tree tonight and I have to clean out the fridge and freezer since we are getting new kitchen appliances next week! I cannot tell y'all how excited I am for a stove with all four burners that actually work, and a fridge that doesn't leak water all over the floor, and a microwave with a handle that is still intact. SO EXCITE.
ETA right now all my phone pics are baby-related stuff... No shame!
Our weekend plans of going to get a Christmas tree and start decorating are probably going to wait until next weekend when DS feels better. This is a nasty little stomach bug - it just won't let go.
I'm starting to feel nauseous and I'm praying it's pregnancy related and that I'm not catching what he had. Fingers crossed! In the meantime, I'm about to make an apple cake because it's so much easier than the apple pie I was planning to make today.
Oh, and the Buckeyes just won! DH is happy, DS is napping, and I'm baking. Happy little Saturday in the soultrane household!
DS and I frequently listen to Kidz Bop radio on pandora because he likes to dance (or I do ). Well, he generally likes all the songs, but goes absolutely nuts over "party in the USA" by Miley Cyrus. I'm not sure how to feel about this.
We got our tree yesterday, all lights are up and house is decorated. I got to go shopping a little today with my mom and sister and they kept wanting to buy stuff for baby #2. Now home watching the Badgers.
soultrane I really hope you don't get sick! It's hard enough taking care of a little sickie let alone yourself. Hope the bug leaves your house soon.
We're heading home now with a very full station wagon filled to the brim with baby gear from my super generous SIL. Her kids are 6 & 2 and they've been saving all the stuff for us. They're moving next month so now is the time to help them clear out.
Not looking forward to unpacking by ourselves, but other than that I'm feeling very blessed right now.
My DS' nursery is navy and gray with elephants. I just went to Hobby lobby and found cute girl elephant decorations… Feels crazy buying them at 13 weeks, but I bought them and I'm going to put them in the closet until the spring when we start making the transition!

babyzebra, no shame in a little Miley! One of my favorite memories from our wedding was when our DJ played Party in the USA. I never in a million years would have asked him to play it but EVERYONE was on the dance floor as soon as it came on. Most of the night was a blur but that moment really stood out to me and it was awesome! Party it up LittleZebra!

We decided to bite the bullet and get a fake Christmas tree. Growing up I always had real trees which I love. I don't know how I feel about this fake business. Especially since the one I really wanted was sold out... we did also get a little 3' tree for DD's room. Now to get/make ornaments.
I bought a bunch of maternity clothes this weekend (mostly online) because I hate real pants. Hoping my appointment goes well Thursday so I don't regret this. Also I need a shopping intervention, I'm making my bank account mad

Yes, I feel your hate for real pants packerfan4life. I have been staying true to my regular skinnies from Madewell, but I gave in today and switched to an older pair of those super stretchy Old Navy skinnies. HEAVEN. I don't know why I held out so long...
lakecountrygal, ArgyleEnigma, txmommy14, Joining you guys on Wednesday. I am still in awe this is happening. My insane morning sickness is weaning, and I am starting to miss it. Is that crazy? It was just constant reassurance that things were marching along nicely. My next appointment is not until 12/10, cannot wait to hear this bean's heartbeat again.

Yes, that is crazy. Lol.
Pretend that being in the second tri means you don't need the reassurance anymore--at least until kicking!!

Well, I got the tree up and decorated and am working on laundry. I felt really nauseous until about 1pm so I think I'm going to ask DH to stop at the grocery store because I don't see me leaving the house today, unless we go out for dinner I guess, but that sounds gross now. Outside lights will happen tomorrow.

sandandsea I put our tree up today but so far it's only got lights on it. I'm debating ornaments because of DS, the dog, and the cats. Most of the ones DH and I have are breakable and from our childhoods.
I also wanted to share with you ladies that I can finally brush my teeth again, I think my morning sickness is pretty much gone!!

lakecountrygal, we have a lot of plastic balls that we bought because of our dog, so we use those on the bottom layers, then the glass ones on top. The plastic ones are pretty and super cheap so it works!
We went to a football game today, thankfully we hung out inside instead of a regular tailgate. It was cold!
I had plans to put up our other tree when I got home, but I ate dinner, put on our fireplace and fell asleep. I'll do it tomorrow.
I want to finish my Old Navy order, but I'm overwhelmed as to what I need to buy.
I was so excited for the Old Navy sale but pretty underwhelmed with the selection. A lot of it just isn't my style, so I only ended up getting a hoodie. I usually love Old Navy so I was kind of bummed.
We went to Old Navy this morning. There was nothing super exciting. I stocked up on leggings for DD and MH got a few shirts. I couldn't find anything for myself.

I think I'll at least get some jeans. I like that they have number sizes. I don't trust that I'll fit in an XL size of pants toward the end like some stores have. I held up XL at Kohl's the other night, and it seemed small for the end of pregnancy. I'm

I cannot WAIT until kicking. I didn't feel until 20 weeks with DS.
