Hey everyone! About to take my DS to the dr because he's been coughing nonstop and had a fever on and off all weekend. I'm sure they will tell me there's nothing they can do, but I feel better if I take him!
He then has physical therapy, first time since cast has been off.
Have an appointment this afternoon. DD got up early today, and then we had a momentary panic when we thought Daniel Tiger wasn't on this morning. But it was, thank goodness.
Drinking my first latte of the pregnancy and it's delicious. Coffee was making me feel so nauseous but after a weekend away and getting home at 1 AM last night, I needed it and it seems to be going okay.
I also never managed to get my decorations up this weekend. And our team didn't win grey cup And I resent that I've been puking a bunch this morning but I'm "second trimester". Lies.
Sorry about the nosebleed GOmamab15 (fun fact: I've actually never had a nose bleed).
txmommy14 I hope your DS is okay and it's nothing serious and he's feeling better soon.
nymama917 a latte sounds heavenly.....except I really don't think I can keep anything down right now. The small handful of Cheerios couldn't even stay. Enjoy it!

I "met" my baby boy this morning! NT scan went great. He's measuring 13 weeks, slightly ahead of my predicted EDD by LMP but pretty close to what I had expected by O date. NT is normal, and there are 2 arms, 2 legs, 2 hemispheres of the brain, one stomach, one nasal bone, 4 chambers to the heart, and a heart rate of 160. The tech said she could even tell it was a boy (we had the result from cfDNA testing) because he had his legs splayed out just showing the world! It's just amazing to me how much you can see so early! DH and I were dumbfounded. I'm not going to get much work done today!

cattuccino I'm so sorry you are still sick. I am in the same boat... Technically second trimester but still feel nauseous all the time hopefully it will be over soon.
I am perhaps a little too excited that the brown sugar pop tarts have been restocked in the work vending machine. I thought I'd have to get strawberry, but then there they were.
Truth, Andrea, I really thought about calling out today.
I've determined that my nausea is directly related to having to get up early for work. I wasn't nauseous at all through the weekend and today woke up feeling like I was hit by a truck. I stayed home just in case this is actually DS' stomach bug, but it's waning so I think (hope) I'm in the clear.
I also just cut off part of a block of cheddar and snacked on that. No shame.

Yay, &frecklesnbrains!!!
I, too, have my NT scan today so I am looking forward to it. DH is coming with, so that is nice.
In holiday venting- we spent Thursday with my parents and sister which was great. My MIL spent the day with my BIL and SIL. On Friday, MIL made an entire second turkey dinner for DH and I and DH's aunt.
Why oh why couldn't we do ANYTHING else?! Pizza and movies would have been great. Take out. Anything. Just not more turkey. I honestly don't think she understands what the holidays are about.
Congrats frecklesnbrains so exciting to see the little babe and looking healthy too!
txmommy14 I hope ds can get some relief from the doctor.
I finally have my energy back and I went and worked out yesterday. I weighed myself and I've lost 3 pound in a week (over thanksgiving!!). I know it is from being sick with the flu but I think it's time to pack on the calories. I gained so much weight with ds that I've been careful to eat healthier. I need to stick with eating healthy but maybe just eat more. Nothing has sounded good but hopefully increased energy means increased appetite. I have a feeling the weight will come back on real quick.

Flair Underwood, good luck with your NT scan! mladerri, I weighed myself this morning and I'm down 2 pounds over the past week. Very bizarre because my appetite is strong and I ate a TON over the holiday. I think I'm just finally starting to lose some of my first trimester bloat. Glad you're feeling better!
So I'm fighting a losing battle at work being distracted by a) my ultrasound this morning, and b) the holidays. I'm giving up and just accepting the fact that I'm going to spend the whole day online shopping and working on a baby registry. By the way, I find the market for baby carriers totally overwhelming. Even Lucie's list can't seem to dumb it down enough for me.
I just got my Verifi results back and they were negative I said I didn't want to know the sex. But, I can call back for them any time. We will see if I do, DH really wants to know. I feel great today. Although my house has been taken over by Shopkins and Unicorns from DD's birthday party yesterday. I'm a little disappointed all the food got devoured, I was really hoping I'd have some leftovers today.

txmommy14, hope he feels better soon! GL restarting PT too. How has his walking been since the cast came off?
The doctor gave us an inhaler because his lungs sounded so bad-we will see how that goes over with a 20 month old! He is walking great...i'm actually curious if they will completely discharge him!
Yay for good testing results and scans today! So happy for everyone!
Well my Monday started with my car dying at the grocery store. I went quickly before getting ready for work, and it wouldn't start when I was leaving. I called AAA for a jump and made it to work just a few minutes late. I really hope it starts when I go home today.
oh no Kevinmac! Not a good start to the day. Yay for good results shoogars! frecklesnbrains, I find looking at all baby stuff overwhelming at the moment. There are so many options!
I had a follow-up OB appointment this morning that went well. We heard the heartbeat again, which was wonderful. Next appointment is January for the anatomy scan!!!! I'm almost positive we are having a boy, so it will be fun to see if I'm right!
For those overwhelmed with the baby carrier options, I recommend finding a store that allows you to try them on. We have a boutique store nearby that hosts baby wearing "classes" where an employee demos all of the different options and you can test them out. Seeing them and trying them first-hand helped us a lot when we were shopping for things for DS.

I had the stupidest "sex" dream of all time last night. An actor propositioned me, and when I was considering it, handed me a binder of disclosures including past partners, when he'd been tested, and how he usually dealt with pregnancies. It had sheet protectors. I declined.
WTF? Thanks for the fantasy release, brain. At least it wasn't another nightmare.

I'm dying laughing that your fantasy partner was so organized!
I'm getting a blood draw for the MaterniT21 test today although I'm not sure why I should even bother with the sex determination part as a couple of family members informed me over Thanksgiving that they know I'm having another boy. Amazing.

Also on the baby carrier thought... Google for a local baby wearing group or something. I love in backwoodsy rural pa And our library has an awesome baby cafe where they being in all the different carriers and you can try them and talk about them.
