Nothing says happy Friday like.........

Falling......all the way to the ground on ice WHEN carrying LO out of daycare........WHEN you told the director just two days ago that everything was iced over and he needed to put ice melt down.......WHEN you are 9 weeks pregnant. 

So upsetting and painful. LO landed on my left knee and foot......and my knee is already swollen and bruising  and we just sat there, here crying and holding on for dear life and me trying to figure out how the hell we were going to stand up without falling again....

ive got some choice words for my director on Monday

Oh no!! You poor thing! I'm sure baby is fine, but can you get in for a u/s just for peace of mind? You deserve to just put your feet up and rest. A daycare owner should definitely know better. I'd be mad too.

I was actually really hoping for an ultra sound since I am currently in a 4 week gap btwn appointments and losing my mind  I called the on call Dr though and she wasn't remotely concerned. At 9 weeks your uterus is still protected by your pelvic bone. So no dice, which I guess is a good thing? My knee has a bump under it the size of a golf ball. I am honestly rip shit about this.......not acceptable and totally avoidable.

Are you freaking kidding me? Holy Hell i would be so mad at the center. And your doc won't see you for peace of mind? Shoot i would insist on being seen. Call back tomorrow!!

I'm so sorry jb. Keep an eye on your knee too. You may need it checked out.

Oh my goodness! I am so sorry! I agree....that is completely unacceptable! Children run through that area, parents carry carriers. That's is ridiculous. Keep an eye on your knee and try to rest as much as possible. When is your next appt.?

Swelling is down on knee which is good news - but it's still painful and black and blue......and karabear4409 - next appt is not until 2/17

I would be furious at the center! In this state, if someone informs you of a potential liability you have to take care of it immediately (i.e. oil slick on the ground). You'll get your ass sued if you don't!

Especially at a place where little ones are being carried in/out of.... GRR!

I would be furious. Everything should be shoveled and salted, especially a daycare and after you said something. I am glad your knee is getting better. I am sure baby is fine, like the doctor said it is well protected in there.
