So I'm scheduling a visit to Seattle in March to visit my son and his parents. I'm hoping to stay about a week. Does anyone know of a decent but cheap hotel?
It depends on what part of Seattle you'll be in. If your near down town, it'll be very expensive. Same with being near the air port. Are you planning on renting a car? If you are I'd stay more on the outskirts of Seattle. Renton, Tukwila ect. I'd use those cheap travel sites like kayak. Com, Travelocity, ect. Book in Advance too. That's awesome you'll go to visit!

Yeah, it all depends on where you want to stay. There are a ton of nice casino resorts in WA, along with some very nice hotels in downtown. I know when we stay in the city we usually stay at the Grand Hyatt and it's pretty amazing. However, it isn't as nice and pretty as the hotel at Clearwater Casino. That one was super nice, and right near the Bainbridge ferry so you could do the downtown stuff.
Do you know which neighborhood you need to be in, and what's your general budget? That will help narrow down suggestions.
If you just need something clean and close to a particular location, I love hotwire. You put in the neighborhood and star level you are comfortable with. It then provides a selection of hotels without the names. You choose one based on descriptor and amenities you want, but don't get the actual hotel name until you pay.
It generally saves about 30% off the average rate. I always put on at least 3 stars and have never been disappointed with my selection.
