Any updates this week? How are you feeling emotionally/physically? Hmm still with the tailbone pain and feeling bigger by the day. DH is gone this weekend and I'm sitting here freaking out trying to figure out how I'm going to get my shoes on and tie them for work today.
Anything you need thoughts and prayers for? I'm good!
QOTW: what's your favorite baby purchase so far or item you are most looking coward to using? Hmmm we haven't bought much for her yet but I really do like the rocking recliner we bought for her room it's super comfy!

amanda33758, sorry about the tailbone pain. My pubic pain is back and I can commiserate. I'm just not used to being achy. Did you adjust your work schedule yet? Do you have a shower coming up? My DH is going away this week, too. I usually don't mind a few days alone, but this time I am dreading it, thinking about all the things I might need him to do. I really feel for people who have spouses that travel a ton.

petrichor, that must have been crazy to hear the doctor say girl! Work stress and business definitely helps take the mind of PGAL worries. Have you ever used the Ergo? My SIL passed hers down to me, newborn insert and all. She didn't care for it but I really wanted one so I was thrilled. She just didn't like baby wearing at all, I guess.

Getting pretty tired. I'm winded when I have to climb stairs and my belly gets uncomfortably heavy and hard at the end of the work day...which is when I try to work out. I've been discouraged because I don't feel like my old self at the gym. And heartburn. Awful. And insomnia! I wake every night around 3 or 4 and don't sleep much after that.
Anything you need thoughts and prayers for?
I'm okay, still feeling so blessed and grateful.

My parents got us our stroller and we put it together. It's the city mini. I love it. I used the same model with my niece last summer and it's fantastic. My parent's town has four miles of ocean front boardwalk and I'll spend tons of time there this summer. I'm just dreaming of warm sun, beautiful scenery and walking my baby girl.

Yeah I did adjust my work schedule, it's really hard for me to do because I feel bad telling clients no I can't do this or that at a certain time, I'm so used to being super flexible with them but I have to think about myself for once. My shower is a week from tomorrow I am so stinking excited I just know my mom and sister have planned such a fun event for me(that's just who they are make it fun and not stuffy kind of people). I don't know what I would do if DH traveled for work. I am so dependent on his help right now!
amanda33758 Slip-on shoes. That's the only advice I have!
Yes definitely today! Okay so I want to pick your brain about baby wearing. Lol. Did you start baby wearing immediately with a newborn? And what do you prefer slings to wraps to other ones? I really want to try baby wearing when LO arrives I'm just so confused because none of my friends really did it and my SIL didn't like it.
I happen to have a friend who has a store that specializes in babywearing. She does appointments with customers so they can try out and learn about options. There is also a local babywearing group where people bring their carriers and wraps and yet others try them out. Maybe there is something similar in your area?

I didn't know much about babywearing when DS was tiny. My friend (who didn't know much either) passed on her Bjorn and an old sling. The sling didn't work for me at all and wasn't a type my knowledgeable babywearing friends would recommend. The Bjorn isn't recommended, either but we used it everywhere and I loved it.
When he was about 4 months (I think) I got a mei tai and used it exclusively with him.
I bought the other sling after he had outgrown it in anticipation of another baby but haven't used it yet. We're in the same situation with the ergo.
Lots of my friends are into wraps but I don't know if I want to deal with the learning curve.

I found a baby-wearing group on Facebook. They meet about an hour away from me but I thought I might check it out as they said you could drop in and try out and learn about different products. Here's a link : www.babywearinginternational.org/about-bwi/chapters/
My SIL passed me down an Ergo and a Bjorn so I am pretty set. I will use the Bjorn when she's small and Ergo when she's bigger. I'm aware of the hip dysphasia concerns with the Bjorn but I think moderate use is okay.

Any updates this week? How are you feeling emotionally/physically? Physically pretty good. A little bit of acid reflux depending on what I eat. Some achy hips/low low back. Starting to struggle a little when working out. I'm still keeping up most of the time, but definitely feeling like I'm going to need to make some modifications soon (I do Zumba a few times a week). Emotionally I am getting so excited- I cannot wait to meet this baby girl!

QOTW: what's your favorite baby purchase so far or item you are most looking coward to using? It's hard to pick 1 item- I'm most excited for the nursery stuff. DS2's nursery was all of DS1's stuff so it's fun to be doing a nursery again, especially with girl stuff.
amanda33758 I wanted to chime in on the babywearing discussion. I'm no expert by any means by I can share my experience. I used a Moby wrap for both my boys as newborns/infants. I mostly used it around the house- it was alot of fabric and a bit cumbersome to put on when we were out and about. If I planned to use it for an outing, I'd actually wrap it on to my body before getting in the car, then just slip the baby in when we arrived. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE my Beco Butterfly II- it's sort of like an Ergo but it has an extra piece of fabric between you and the baby so they're more secure (at least that's how I felt). I used the infant insert which was so easy until he was a little bigger. It's easy to go from front to back carry. Prior to getting a bump, I was still wearing DS2 (he will be 2 next month). It is so quick and easy to get on and get baby in. It's one of my favorite baby gear items ever.
Here's the beco- DS is about 8ish months old I think in this pic.

Any updates this week? How are you feeling emotionally/physically? emotionally, I have my ups and downs. Physically, I've been feeling like I pulled a groin muscle, any abduction or adduction movement of my legs (rolling over in bed, climbing in/out of a car) is painful. I'm going to mention it to my mw on Tue. Also heartburn, zantac has lost its magic. I wake up with my throat burning from reflux. I'm tired like 1st T again and I snore like a lumberjack.
Anything you need thoughts and prayers for? Thankfully, I'm ok. Sunday was 1 year since my second m/c, and because it's also my nephew's birthday (I m/c at his party) I was really nervous about his party this year. Luckily, my sister got a bfp that morning and shared the news, which definitely helped.
QOTW: what's your favorite baby purchase so far or item you are most looking coward to using? Haven't bought much of anything yet.

Hi, I would describe my pubic pain in the same way, and I found that exercising aggravates it. I actually called my doctor about it when it was really bad. She said there is nothing to do but try to find the fine line between not exercising at all and not exercising too much. Not much of an answer. Sorry that you are dealing with it, too. I'm glad that you got through your nephew's party and your loss milestone okay.

mpiemont, what a beautiful picture of your family! Your boys are so cute. What are you doing with your little girl nursery? What colors? Thanks for the recommendation and info on baby wearing.

mpiemont thank you so much for the information on baby wearing! And that picture of you and your boys is precious!!!
fourthtimesacharm sorry you are having so much pain. I do sympathize with the heart burn being tired and snoring though. Hopefully it eases up a little for you

Thank you amanda33758 and downtheshore For most of this pregnancy I've had it pretty easy. A pulled muscle in my abdomen around 20 weeks was really the only pain I had, the heartburn has been with me since before I knew I was pg. MH commented to me last night that "it's starting" because we were on the couch watching a movie and every so often I would stand up and sit down again to reposition. I figure I only have 9 weeks left until my due date and the pain is episodic. If it becomes constant, I can always take tylenol.
