Children and inappropriate play
An interesting perspective on the idea of "inappropriate play" for children. I'm still not a fan of toy guns and intentionally hurting others, but the imaginative play of scaling heights, throwing things, acting out scenarios have their merits (note: to a degree, of course). I wonder if those who did get cuts, scrapes, shoot water guns, bike ditch, etc. are better prepared to emotional handle tough situations as adults than children who were always careful, "safe," and played more docile activities.
