I'm not going back until the end of March because it was pretty rough with DD when I returned to work. I went at 12 weeks with her and I was so foggy. Thankfully I taught 1st and 2nd graders so it wasn't too bad. I teach older kids now and the grading is ridiculous.
Are you ready to return? Are either of you nervous about pumping? Pumping went pretty well once I got a routine down. It wa hard to get in and out in time. Everyone wants to check in with the new mama in the hall!
I'm going back tomorrow. I know in the teachers who pump in my building do during the lunch and right after school. They have also had use of an aid for 20 mins when they needed to pump.
I go back next Monday, and I'm pretty nervous, too. Trying to figure out how I'm going to make it with a lack of sleep, since I still sleep as much as I can--until 8 or 9 whenever DS is sleeping. I feel like pumping is going to be overwhelming, too, since that takes away my prep times. I know I can check emails and work at my computer with my hands-free pumping bra, but I won't be able to get up and move around my room or go make copies. It just doesn't feel real that I'm going back. I'm sad about it.

I have been back since right after Christmas break. I'm a sped teacher so my breaks are a little more flexible and i have paras to cover. I usually pump 1 time in morning and 1 time in afternoon, but it seems like something always comes up during the 2nd session. I have been staying later since I'm pumping during planning.
Well I'm not too concerned about pumping, as I'm an art teacher and kids aren't in my room at all times. I also have a private bathroom that's only for my own use, so it's empty during my prep and lunch etc. I'm more worried about the idea of working with little kids all day on my feet vs having an office job where the work is hard but I could at least sit lol How was your energy level/adjustment when you went back?
I've been back a week and my biggest adjustment was sore feet and legs every day. I'm adjusting to getting back into the grove of grading. Dang is it rough to do.
